How to Play
Avoid obstacles and other drivers while using in-game bonus items to your advantage.
- Starting the Game
- Click on the orange arrow at the bottom of the welcome screen. The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner.
- This will bring up the car select screen. You can select between the following drivers
- Penelope Pitstop
- Peter Perfect
- Dastardly and Muttley
- Gruesome Twosome
- IQ
- After selecting your driver click the orange arrow at the bottom of the driver to start the race.
- On your first drive the game will show you where indicators like rank position and lap are along with how to collect power ups.
- Game Controls
- Use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to stay on the track, avoid obstacles, and pick up bonuses.
- Click the spacebar to fire bonus items at competitors or hit any turbo you collected.
- Strategy
- This game is fairly straightforward.
- With there only being 5 race cars on the track you have a 60% probability of landing in the top 3.
- The main things that differentiate winning versus losing in this game are:
- staying on the track
- avoiding obstacles
- always picking up bonus items so you have turbos you can use or items you can throw at other racers

Unlike the other Wacky Races games, this actually plays like a kart racing game. If you’ve played other kart racers before, you should be familiar with some of the key concepts. Do note that this is a browser game, so you can’t expect too much variety. And unlike the series or its remake, you can win as Dick Dastardly here. Though this might be because there’s no way for him to undercut himself by cheating.
The differences between you and your opponents are cosmetic. Each of the racers plays exactly the same way, so you can choose any main you want. Victory depends on staying on track, dodging obstacles, and getting power ups. Power ups can either give you a speed boost or slow down your enemies. Some are weapons while others are traps. Getting all the power ups can give you the edge you need to win the race.
The game play is quite engaging and all you can expect from an actual Wacky Races game. It doesn’t have a lot of variety, though. You’ve only got one track to race in.
