How to Play

Fit in the various pieces to form the finished picture suggested by the outline.

• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere to load the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, select Start to begin.
  • On the level selection screen, choose any of the tangrams to begin the puzzle.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse:
      • Left click and drag the pieces to move them into place.
      • Left click on the clockwise and counterclockwise arrows beside the pieces to rotate them.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap and swipe on the pieces to assemble them.
      • Tap on the clockwise and counterclockwise arrows to rotate the pieces.
  • Controls and indicators
    • The game’s controls and indicators are found on the bottom left corner of the screen. From left to right, they are as follows:
      • Home button: Exits the level and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Reset button: Starts the level from the beginning
      • Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio on or off
    • Free mode has its extra controls:
      • Left side (top-down):
        • Zoom in
        • Zoom out
        • Move: Allows you to move all the pieces as a group at once
      • Bottom center:
        • Camera: Takes a screenshot of your work and saves it to your device as a .jpeg file
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Achieve the silhouette of the level bymoving each of the tangram pieces to the correct shape.
    • You can place the pieces as is or rotate them clockwise or counterclockwise to fit.
    • The pieces lock into place when you place them into the puzzle’s faded outline (silhouette) correctly.
      • Unlike the other tangram games on the site, this one has the silhouette come in a faded version of the finished puzzle.
      • This makes it great for beginners who want to practice visualizing where the tangram pieces go.
      • Likewise, might be less challenging for more advanced players who want to play tangrams as a puzzle.
    • When all the pieces are in place, you can move onto the next level.
    • There are 39 levels in this game.
  • Free mode
    • Free mode is the 40th level in the game.
    • Here, you can assemble the tangram pieces any way you want to create your own silhouettes.
    • You can save your finished silhouette on your device.
• Target Audience
