This is a fun but fast-paced ball chain game where players must shoot 3 in a row. This tile matching game is patterned after the famed 2003 PopCap hit game Zuma.
- Place your cursor near balls of the same color as the one in your right hand and click your mouse to shoot your ball.
- Repeatedly make 3 in a row and destroy all balls in the chain before the ball chain gets to the exit point.
- If you break a chain and balls of the same color are on either side of the chain it will pull the front chain back and can cause a secondary reaction.

The Sorcerer Game Play Instructions
How to Play
Shoot balls of the same color at the chain to get three in a row and destroy the chain before it gets near the level exit.
- Game Mechanics
- The chain keeps moving until either you destroy all the balls in it or it reaches the end of the level and you lose.
- The game has 13 levels.
- Your progress is stored in your local web browser.
- As you progress through the game the balls move faster and the level design gets more complex.
- If you lose you can start the game again from the beginning of the game or click on the double arrow to bring up the level overview page and start on any level you have already played, including the one you died on.
- Shooting Balls at the Chain
- Your right hand contains the ball you will shoot and your left hand contains the next ball you will shoot.
- Aim your mouse cursor near where balls of the same color as the one in your right hand appear then click your mouse to shoot your ball at the chain.
- When you get three in a row the balls will remove from the chain.
- In general it is better to aim your balls near the front of the chain rather than further back later on the chain.
- Be careful when aiming around corners where the ball can hit the wrong spot.
- If you have a ball you can not easily use and there is a clear part of the screen you can throw the ball away in the direction where it will not hit anything.

We offer a few other versions of the same game with different aesthetic designs.
- Frogtastic – similar to The Sorcerer, but the main character is a frog.
- Christmas Chain – Santa shoots balls in a wintery themed design.
- Halloween Chain – Halloween themed colors.
The Sorcerer is comparable to any of the other games in this series. The big differences or exceptions would be:
- The “up next” ball in your left hand is a bit hard to see unless you are intensely focused on it. This is true of both of the holiday chain games as well, while Frogtastic makes it easier to see what game is next.
- The game playing field is clearer than some of the other versions of the game with less distracting elements like butterflies floating around.
- Design can impact mood and everyone is different, but I found the Christmas version of this game to be the most aesthetically pleasing.
We also offer a similar but easier game in this genre based on the Craig of the Creek animated series. It is called Defend the Sewers.
If you enjoy this game you may want to check out the original Zuma series. They offer their games in a variety of apps, but many mobile gaming apps are notoriously ad heavy. Probably the best way to play many Zuma games would be to find a new or used version of PopCap Greatest Hits 3, Zuma’s Revenge, or PopCap Ultimate Collection on either Amazon.com or eBay. They offer PC versions (pictured below) as well as versions for game consoles including the XBOX 360 and the PlayStation 2.
