How to Play

Drive the Monster Truck as fast as you can through the track. Reach the finish line intact to clear the level.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
  • Select Trucks to view and unlock new monster trucks.
  • Select the gear button to open the game’s audio controls. Use the sliders to change the volume of the game’s music and sound effects.

    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
      • You start with only the first level unlocked.

  • Basic rules
    • Move forward as fast as you can.
      • Follow the contour of the track as closely as you can.
      • Expect to do a few jumps for extra speed.
    • Reach the finish line as fast as you can.
      • Completing a race without crashing is good for one star.
      • Finishing fast without crashing is the key to getting a higher star rating.
      • The highest star rating you can earn on a stage is 3 stars.
      • There are a maximum of 60 stars you can obtain throughout the game.
    • Avoid falling over or falling down.
      • The first hazard you’ll encounter are the jumps themselves.
        • Tilt forward or backward to make sure you stay upright upon landing.
        • Don’t flip over. Your truck will explode.
        • Holes in the track can only be surmounted by jumping.
      • Colliding with other parts of the track will also cause your truck to explode.
  • Trucks
    • You can unlock 4 trucks in this game.
      • Earn stars to unlock new truck.
      • The higher your star ratings in each level, the more trucks you can unlock.
      • Trucks are unlocked at 9, 20, 30, and 45 stars.
    • Trucks have the same physics but different skins.
  • Tips
    • Controlling your angle is as crucial as controlling your speed.
      • On many stages you’ll lose your momentum if you land at the wrong angle.
      • You can also bottom out and crash if you go over a hill with a rapidly shifting terrain while driving with the wrong angle.
    • Star ratings
      • If you score fewer than 3 stars on a stages play through the rest of the game and then come back to the levels you earned a lower star rating on to beat them with faster times.
      • Later levels are harder than early stages, so beating all stages will make it easy to come back and earn a high star rating on prior stages.
      • The star rating speed is different for each stage. For example, if you beat the final stage in just under 20 seconds you will earn 2 stars. On most stages you would only score a single star with that slow of a performance.
    • Parallel paths
      • Some stages have a path above you that you can crash into if you go across the lower path too quickly.
      • Some stages have both lower and upper paths you can take where one will often lead to overshooting or missing the flag, or requiring you to drive far more slowly to not crash.
      • When you get to some of the later stages (like the final stage) you have to be careful about what platform you are on.
        • You may need to rapidly climb a hill, slow down, and then angle the truck to fall downward onto another platform.
        • The final stage can be finished in about 16 seconds if you get the drop timing correctly, but may take twice that long until you master the drop.
