Game Play
Basics
While the game name has “match” in it this game is designed as a tile breaker game where you break groupings of 2 or more identical adjacent tiles.
Select a tile with 1 or more vertical or horizontal adjacent identical tiles. All the tiles in that group will break & any tiles above will fall down to fill in.
When you create empty columns the columns on either side fill inward.
Levels
Levels are unlocked sequentially.
You can’t go back and replay levels.
Each level has a unique score goal which is shown before the level loads & a unique board layout.
When you fail to reach a level goal it is game over and you start back at the first level.
Scoring
Each set you match is worth points, with the point values growing geometrically for larger matched sets. The formula is that for each additional item you match your score increase goes up by 2 more than the increment earned for the prior match.
matching 2 is worth 2 points
matching 3 is worth 6 points (+4 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 4 is worth 12 points (+6 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 5 is worth 20 points (+8 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 6 is worth 30 points (+10 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 7 is worth 42 points (+12 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 8 is worth 56 points (+14 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 9 is worth 72 points (+16 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 10 is worth 90 points (+18 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 11 is worth 110 points (+20 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 12 is worth 132 points (+22 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 13 is worth 156 points (+24 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 14 is worth 182 points (+26 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 15 is worth 210 points (+28 extra points over the prior match value)
matching 16 is worth 240 points (+30 extra points over the prior match value)
You also score a 100-point bonus for matching all stones on the level & clearing the board.
Your game score is the cumulative sum of your level scores.
Strategy
Make sure your score will beat the level goal or else it is game over.
If you can make a single large match that reaches the score then start off with such big matches.
If you have to make many matches to reach the goal score then try to make matches strategically in a way that aligns other match opportunitiies.
In general it is best to do horizontal matches high on the playing field first, then make lower horizontal matches, then make vertical matches.
You can visualize the pieces falling into position as you make matches that remove stones or clear entire columns. Make sure you do not leave stranded pieces unless doing so enables longer matches that score enough points to exceed the level goal.

The game is suited for players who like tile breaker games.
