Basic rules
Clearing the stack
Select a pair of identical free tiles to remove them from the stack.
A tile counts as free if it meets the following criteria:
There is no tile above it.
There is no tile adjacent to it on at least one side.
Clear all the tiles in the stack to beat the level.
If you run out of valid moves, shuffle the board.
If you run out of moves and cannot shuffle, the game cannot continue.
Scoring
Each pair of tiles you clear is worth 10 points.
Clearing multiple pairs of tiles in a row grants you a combo bonus.
Combo bonuses
You earn combo bonuses by clearing a set of tiles one after another.
Keep track of your combo multiplier using the combo meter.
The combo meter is divided into 5 units.
After clearing your first tile, your combo meter is full. It quickly depletes as time passes.
The combo you’ll receive will lower in value based on the number of full units left.
Clearing new pairs charges your combo meter by 1 unit.
Once the timer expires you lose all your multipliers, leaving it at x1.
Coins and power ups
Coins
You earn coins after every level you finish.
Every 100 points you earn is worth 1 coin.
Use your coins to buy power ups.
You can earn more coins by replaying previously unlocked levels.
Power ups
There are 4 power ups in this game.
Magnet: Lets you remove a pair of tiles by selecting only one free tile.
Rocket: Clears several tile pairs at once
Flashlight: Highlights all the free tiles in the stack
Shuffle: Rearranges all the tiles in the stack
Of the power ups, shuffles are the most important as they can help you when you run out of moves.
Buy power ups by selecting their icon on the bottom row.
Each power up costs 100 coins.
We recommend saving at least 100 coins to use for a shuffle.
You begin the game with one of three power ups (magnet, rocket, shuffle).
You get a free shuffle power up on level 3.
Because the first eight levels of the game highlight the free tiles, the flashlight is not available until level 9.
Levels
There are 96 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.
The first three levels of the game act as a tutorial.
The levels are sorted across 8 iconic cities from across the globe.
Paris, France: Levels 1 to 16
Guilin, China: Levels 17 to 32
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Levels 33 to 48
Tokyo, Japan: Levels 49 to 64
Venice, Italy: Levels 65 to 80
Las Vegas, USA: Levels 81 to 96
Finish all the levels in a city to unlock the next one.
City backgrounds are purely aesthetic. You can switch between any of the cities you’ve unlocked if you so choose using the travel button.
You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten in the currently unlocked set.
You cannot replay previous levels after you’ve already moved to the next city, even if you switch back to the previous city using the travel button.
