How to Play

Find two free pairs of identical tiles to remove them from the stack. Clear the entire stack as fast as you can.

  • The welcome screen automatically gives way to the main menu after a few seconds.

  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on a tile to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on a tile with your fingers to select.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Top row
      • Hamburger button: Quits the game and returns you to the main menu
      • Timer
      • Remaining tiles
      • Available moves (“Open matches”)
      • Hints
    • Bottom row
      • Help button
      • Undo button: Returns the last pair of tiles you’ve cleared.
• Game Play
  • Setting up
    • On the main menu, you can choose a puzzle based on the following:
      • Pick the day’s puzzle by selecting the current date on the calendar. You can play any of the puzzles unlocked since the 1st of January.
      • Move the calendar around to pick any of the other puzzles from the days before.
      • If you want to play a specific puzzle, pick one of the categories on the right and choose one.
    • Select the puzzle number to begin.
    • Select the gear button on the top right corner to open the game’s options screen:
      • Select the language button on the top right corner of the options screen to switch game languages.
      • Select the sound fx and music buttons to turn these respective parts of the game’s audio on or off.
      • Select Reset Progress to clear your previous game progress and start again.
  • Basic rules
    • Remove pairs of identical free tiles.
      • A free tile has no tile on top and is clear of other tiles on at least either the left or right sides.
      • You can automatically gray out the non-free tiles by selecting an unfree block from the stack..
      • You can match flower or season tiles with one another regardless of their appearance.
    • Clear the entire stack as fast as you can.
      • While there is no time limit to how long you can play, you can measure your performance using the timer.
    • If you’re ever stuck, use a hint.
      • You start each new session with 3 hints.
      • Unlike other mahjong solitaire games, the hints have no time penalty. Feel free to use them.
    • When you run out of valid moves, the game automatically reshuffles.
