How to Play

Move the black square across the white tiles and the white square across black tiles. Clear each stage of W and B icons to unlock the next level.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the gray PLAY button on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for controlling game sound and music.

    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Jump up by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.
      • You automatically fall when standing on a block of the opposite color.
      • The game has a G block on some levels. Running into the G block reverses the direction of gravity.
    • Press the S key or the down arrow key to switch between squares.
    • Press the R key to restart the current level.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed for play on computers with connected keyboards.

  • Basics
    • This is a black and white tile color reversing game where you must get the black stone to the tile with a B on it and the white stone to the tile with the W on it.
    • The black stone can only move through tiles which are white or gray.
    • The white stone can only pass through tiles which are black or gray.
    • As you pass through white or black stones you turn them the opposite color they were.
  • Tile types
    • White tile – only black squares can pass through white tiles. White tiles turn black after the black square moves through them.
    • Black tile – only white squares can pass through black tiles. Black tiles turn white after the white square moves through them.
    • Gray tile – open tiles which can be passed by either square type. Color does not change after you pass through.
    • Maroon tile – solid walls which can not be traversed by either square type.
  • Special squares
    • W – you must capture all of these with the white square.
    • B – you must capture all of these with the black square.
    • G – reverses gravity. Hitting multiple G blocks will reverse gravity and then reverse it back to normal.
  • Levels
    • This game has 19 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by collecting all the W and B squares on it.
      • You lose the level if your squares get stuck where you can not move them.
      • Press R to restart the level if you get stuck.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • Tiles only change color after you completely pass through them.
    • One way to avoid falling down is to jump with portions of your square on two adjacent tiles, so that either side can support them.
    • You can fall all the way down a row and still be able to climb back up provided the opposing color tile is available through all the cells on the way down and a path back up which is adjacent.
    • If you have to pass through 2 or more consecutive vertical gray tiles & the box you want to get to is above you then you’ll need to reverse gravity to climb.
