How to Play

Left click or tap on the differences to spot them. Spot all differences in each picture before the timer expires.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on a difference to find it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the differences with your fingers to find it.
  • Controls and indicators (bottom row, left to right):
    • Menu button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
    • Timer bar
    • Number of differences found
    • Score
    • Sound button: Turns the game’s sounds on and off
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Look for the differences between the two images.
      • Your cursor moves in both images regardless of which one you select.
      • Look at where your cursor is in either image to find the differences between them.
      • To spot a difference, left click or tap on it.
    • Find all the differences in the image before the timer expires.
      • Clicking or tapping on the wrong spot earns you a timer penalty. Be careful where you click.
      • If the timer expires before you find everything, you fail the level.
    • Later levels have more differences to spot.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is based on how fast you finish each level.
      • The faster you finish, the higher your score will be.
    • Your score is cumulative but only if you play the levels in a row.
      • Each new level you finish adds points to your total score.
      • Your browser erases your total score each time you quit or restart the level.
  • Levels
    • The game has 12 levels, which are unlocked sequentially.
      • Locked levels are shown in gray while unlocked levels are shown in orange.
      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve unlocked.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by finding all the differences before the timer reaches zero.
        • Early levels require you to find 5 differences.
        • As you advance through the game you are required to spot more differences.
      • If you run out of time you can replay the level again an unlimited number of times.
      • Each time you play a stage the differences within it will remain the same across plays.
