How to Play

Collect the gem and exit through the exit door. Strategically time your jumps so that the blue and pink platforms are active when you go to land on them. Avoid spikes & falling off platform.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The left rail of the welcome screen has buttons for sound control, music control, gave developer information, and erasing your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the up arrow key to jump.
    • Press the left arrow key to move left.
    • Press the right arrow key to move right.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper right corner of the screen has buttons for restarting the current level and pausing the game.
      • The pause menu has buttons for controlling game sound, controlling game music, going to the level select screen, and resuming play.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.

  • Basics
    • The goal of this game is to make it through the door at the end of each stage.
      • Along your way you must collect the gem to be able to unlock the door.
    • Platforms & jumping
      • When you jump the pink and blue platforms change state.
        • On each jump whichever is invisible (outline only) becomes visible & whichever is visible shifts to outline only.
        • You can pass through invisible platforms but can not stand on them.
        • As a rule of thumb you want to jump onto platforms that are invisible when you start your jump & avoid trying to stand on platforms that are visible before you jump.
      • When you fall off platform that does not switch platform state.
        • On some stages you have to fall rather than jump to complete stages.
    • Spikes
      • If you run into spikes you die.
      • White spikes are always active.
      • Some spikes are blue or pink, similar to platforms.
        • You can walk across them when they are clear or inactive.
        • If you are jumping toward colored spikes you must do so while they are colorful, so that they turn clear when you walk on them.
    • Temporary platforms
      • Near the end of the game some of the ordinary green platforms fall.
      • You can stand on the green platforms even as they are falling & use them to jump onto other areas.
        • In some cases you need to jump once on the falling platform to change the state of blue or pink platforms & then jump again to jump off.
      • If the falling green platform passes through pink or blue platforms you will stop on the colored platform while the falling platform keeps falling.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
      • When you beat the final level the screen goes black rather than going to a game beat screen.
        • You can refresh the web browser tab to reload the game again if you would like to replay prior levels.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You lose if you fall off platform out of screen low, move past the left or right edge of the screen, or run into active spikes.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of failed levels.
  • Tips
    • The levels are not timed and you do not have a limited number of jumps, so it pays to take time to analyze the level and plan your path.
      • Quite often you need to backtrack on your path.
      • In many areas you have to jump extra times on fixed platforms where the jumps serve no purpose other than correctly aligning the chromatic switching platform colors.
      • Once you know a particular path or strategy works use it consistently so you do not create additional issues when replaying a level you are stuck on.
    • When jumping remember to jump through the chromatic switching platforms that are solid when you jump & land on one of the platforms which was outline only when you jumped.
      • If there is only a single cell gap between platforms then you can run across without requiring a jump.
      • If the target platform is below where you are jumping from you may be able to fall rather than jumping. Falling does not change the platform states the way jumping does.
    • On the final stage the gem is hidden on a pink platform below where you start the level.
      • Jump to switch active platform colors, then walk off the first platform to the right and move back left.

  • The game is suited for players who like cute platforming games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
