How to Play

Time your moves, jumps, and platform switches to safely move from platform to platform. Collect the key and safely make it to the exit door. On later stages there is a magic energy orb you can run into to reverse gravity.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the Play button in the center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for sound control and music control.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.
    • Press the X key to cycle through which platforms are active vs invisible.
    • Press the R key to restart the current stage.
    • Press the Escape key to go to the main menu.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed for desktop and laptop computers with an attached keyboard.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The platform where the borders are active has white borders.
    • The platform which is inactive but will be activated next has blue borders.
    • Platforms which are not active and take more than one cycle to become active are shown in black.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Move around the level like you would an ordinary platformer game by running and jumping.
      • Collect the key and pass through the open door.
    • To make it through the exit you will need to control which platforms are active as you play.
      • White platforms are active and the next platform which will be active is shown in blue.
      • Time your jumps and platform switches so that the platforms do not become active while you are passing through a wall.
      • In some cases you’ll need to make a running jump, change away from the platform you were on, and cycle through multiple other platform sets before landing.
    • As you advance through the game some stages have gravity reversing balls which you can run into.
      • Hit one and gravity will reverse.
      • Hit a second one and gravity will go back to normal.
      • Some stages have many of these.
        • The stage before the final stage has 5 of these.
        • You are not required to use all of the gravity reversing balls to beat some of the levels.
  • Levels
    • This game has 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win a level by collecting the key and then safely making it to the door.
      • You lose a level if you fall off platform where you can not recover, or if you activate a platform you are pasing through and crush your character.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
      • If you make a mistake you can press the R key to restart the current level.
  • Tips
    • Basics
      • If you make an error early in the level you can press R to restart the level.
      • Always remember to get the key before trying to go to the exit.
    • Jumping
      • On most stages you’ll need to build up horizontal momentum and jump then time your platform switch right before you would run into a wall exiting.
    • Platform switching
      • The platforms switch in the same sequence each time you rotate through the sequence.
        • 1-2-3-4 on the first go will be 1-2-3-4 on the next go.
        • If you start at 2 then you’ll go 2-3-4-1 as you cycle through.
      • If you know the count of number of platforms you need to switch you can do the first just before you exit, tap additional times until one step less than the final needed step & then only do the final switch after you are over the associated platform.
