Yes, some species of tree can grow back from stumps once cut down, though they don’t always do so very quickly and readily. See, a tree isn’t just the top part. Cutting down the trunk will not kill the tree right away, and with a little luck its still-living stump will re-grow new branches. Not all trees do this, however. Incidentally, the type of tree shown in our game, conifer trees, usually don’t.
