How to Play

Move across the island and make your way to the door.

• Starting the Game
  • At the center of the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • On the top left corner of the welcome screen are the following controls (top-down):
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s sound effects on or off.
    • Select the music button to turn the game’s music on or off.
    • Select the exclamation point button to view the game’s developer information.
    • Select the trash button to clear your game’s previous data.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the left and right arrows to move horizontally.
      • Press the up and down arrows to move vertically.
      • Press the R key to restart the level.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers and swipe to move your character in the desired direction.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row (left to right):
      • Level number
      • Reset button: Returns the level to the way it was at the beginning.
      • Pause button
    • Pause menu
      • Top:
        • Play button: Resumes the game
      • Bottom (left to right):
        • Grid button: Quits the game and returns you to the level selection screen

  • Basic rules
    • Your character slides from edge to edge in any direction.
      • If you move down, you will reappear on the top of the screen, and vice versa. This also applies to horizontal movement.
      • Make sure to move in a direction where you have somewhere to land.
        • If your character or any of the boxes move in a direction where no land is there to stop you, you or the box will move in that direction in a loop.
        • If your box is stuck in this loop, change the direction your character is facing to have the box change direction.
        • If your character is the one stuck in a loop, you must restart the game.
      • You can only move again if you are actually on the ground.
    • Whenever possible, collect a coin somewhere in the level before going to the door.
      • You do not need to collect the coin to finish the level.
    • Make your way to the door.
      • You finish the level when you land on the door.
      • The game will automatically load the next level after you finish the current one.
  • Level features
    • In later levels, boxes will also move in the same direction your character does.
      • Boxes can be both hindrances and tools.
        • You can move boxes around to use them as stoppers.
        • A box can be a nuisance if you need to move unobstructed.
      • To hold boxes in place, you must often trap it in a corner where it can’t move in the direction your character does.
      • Boxes with arrows will only move in one direction.
      • Usually, these are obstacles. You must find a way to keep them in place until you
    • Activate switches in the right order by pressing them.
      • Some switches close and open barriers that you can use to get to the door.
      • Other switches let you move boxes.
      • Use boxes to keep the switches turned on.
  • Levels
    • The game has 15 levels, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten by selecting their number on the level selection screen.
