How to Play

Hit the baseball with as much force as possible. Don’t miss more than three times or you’re out!

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button at the bottom center to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
    • Your best score appears below the play button on the bottom center of the welcome screen.

    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to swing the bat.

  • Basic rules
    • Before you begin, choose from one of the two in-game teams.
      • The teams’ uniforms are inspired by the real-world uniforms worn by two New York baseball teams: the Yankees and the Mets.
    • You play as the batter.
    • The pitcher of the opposing team will throw the ball at you.
      • Swing the bat at the right time to hit the ball and send it flying.
      • Exactly when you hit the ball determines how far it goes.
    • Repeat the process for as long as you can.
    • You have two options on the game over screen:
      • Select the reset button on the left to start a new session.
      • Select the home button on the right to quit the game and return to the welcome screen.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is based on how far you hit the ball. The stronger your swing and the further away the ball goes, the higher the number of points you get.
  • Strikes
    • Like in the song, you have three strikes.
    • Each time you miss, that’s a strike.
    • It’s three strikes and you’re out. Game over.
