3D Bricks Breaker Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Launch the ball into the bricks on the top of the screen. Break the bricks by directing the ball toward them with the paddle. Catch the ball with the paddle to keep it in play.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, press the enter key to start.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
    • Your high score appears on the bottom center of the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the space bar to launch the ball.
      • Press the left and right arrows to move the paddle.
      • After a game over, press the F5 key to restart the game.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although this game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Launch the ball onto the bricks on the top of the screen.
      • Use the arrow keys to change the direction of the ball on launch.
      • You cannot move the paddle when you are about to launch the ball.
    • Depending on their color, the bricks will either change color or disappear.
      • Red bricks are destroyed immediately with one hit.
      • Hit orange bricks to turn them into red bricks.
      • Hit yellow bricks to turn them into orange bricks.
      • Hit green bricks to turn them into yellow bricks.
    • Move the paddle to catch the ball and keep it in play.
    • Keep playing for as long as you can.
      • After you clear one set of bricks, a new one loads.
      • Keep playing until you run out of lives.
  • Lives
    • You begin the game with 10 lives.
    • Each time you fail to catch the ball, you lose a life.
    • Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
  • Power ups
    • The bricks you break will drop power up cubes. Pick them up with your paddle.
    • You can receive the following power ups:
      • Extra balls: Get two more balls bouncing around.
      • Small ball: Shrinks your ball temporarily
      • Large paddle: Temporarily lengthens your paddle
      • Extra life
  • Scoring
    • You receive 1,000 points for every red brick you break.
    • If a brick started out as a different color, the points you’ll receive when you it are much higher.
      • For instance, an orange block will be worth 2,000 points.
      • The more hits it takes to remove a brick, the higher its point value is.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like games inspired by Breakout.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
