How to Play

As an alien on a flying saucer, collect gems and stars and shoot down as many enemy craft as you can.

• Starting the Game
  • At the center of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Select the play button at the very center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button to the left to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
    • Select the enlarge button to the right to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.

    • Press and hold Z to ascend.
    • Press and hold X to shoot.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the up button to ascend.
    • Tap on the shoot button to shoot.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top right corner:
      • Score
    • Bottom row (touchscreen controls, left to right):
      • Up button
      • Shoot button
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Your ship automatically moves down.
      • Ascend as soon as you can to keep your ship from crashing.
      • Descend slightly to avoid enemies from above.
      • Try to stay aloft for as long as possible.
    • Shoot down as many enemies as you can.
    • Collect shield power ups to give you temporary protection from enemy shots.
    • Pick up stars and gems for extra points.
  • Scoring
    • You earn points based on the following actions:
      • Shooting enemies (20 points)
      • Collecting stars and gems (5 points)
    • The game over screen shows you both your latest score and previous high score.
