How to Play

Play 8 different Halloween themed audio recordings. Adjust the settings and add audio effects to change how each recording sounds.

• Starting the Game
  • Select any of the audio recordings and settings to begin.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with your fingers to select.
• Game Play
  • Interface
    • To the left of the screen are the various spooky audio files, represented as buttons.
    • Most of the controls are located at the center of the soundboard.
      • The slider adjusts the audio’s playing speed.
      • The red buttons add various effects to the audio.
      • The help button opens the game’s tutorial.
        • The tutorial itself appears as a text and image overlay over the soundboard.
        • To return to the sound board, select the help button again.
      • The reset button brings all the settings back to the way they were when the game first loaded.
    • On the upper right is a slideshow of various horror and horror comedy-themed images.
  • Prerecorded sounds
    • The game comes with 8 different prerecorded spooky sounds.
      • Bubbling cauldron
      • Witch’s cackle
      • Scream
      • Raven’s caw
      • Monster groan
      • Zombie groan
      • Bat screech
      • Thunder
    • To play the sound, left click or tap at the button.
  • Audio settings
    • Select one of the four red buttons to add an audio effect to the next sound you play.
    • Use the slider to adjust the speed the sound plays.
      • From the bottom left, counterclockwise, these are:
        • No effect
        • Reverb
        • High pitch/Screech
        • Droning/Echo
      • When an audio effect is active, the button is highlighted in white.
    • Play around with the settings to create otherworldly, frightening, or silly sounds.
