How to Play

See if you can avoid the traffic situation in the SpongeBob episdoe Hall Monitor by directing intersection traffic with care.

• Starting the Game
  • Select the magenta play button at the center to proceed to the welcome screen.
  • Select the play button below the game’s title on the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on the cars to stop them.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to stop the cars.
• Game Play
  • Basic
    • Stop the cars long enough for the other cars coming from an orthogonal direction to pass.
    • Cars will stop for 3 seconds, and no longer.
      • You can click on a car to restart it earlier than the 3 second timeout. Be warned some cars go a bit faster than normal when restarted.
    • Avoid all collisions to proceed to the next level.
      • If you lose a level you can replay it an unlimited number of times.
  • Strategy
    • In general, you only need to stop cars that are doing a perpendicular crossing in the intersection.
    • You don’t always need to stop the cars.
      • When the vehicles are driving in parallel lanes, you can let them pass without a worry.
      • This rings true if there’s also enough distance from one car to the next that they can cross the intersection without ever meeting.
    • If there are two vehicles in close proximity that you need to stop, select them both.
      • Failing to stop the second car will cause a crash.
    • Pay closer attention to the cars at the vertical intersection, as they don’t as much room to stop.
      • Restart the vertical traffic as soon as possible to prevent new cars entering the screen from crashing into the back of parked cars.
      • If you have a choice between stopping horizontal or vertical moving cars it is better to stop the horizontal traffic flow because you have a bit more warning when new cars enter into the screen before they’d run into the back of a stopped car.
