How to Play

Drop balls into the container where they will create merges with identical balls. Keep merging until you make it to 2048.

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen select to play in standard 2048 mode, or endless mode.
    • 2048 mode ends when you merge up to 2048 & endless mode ends when you reach 16,384.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right, a game developer information button in the lower left, and a more games button in the lower right.

    • Use your mouse to reposition the ball at the top of the screen & left click to drop it into play.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen to select the column you would like to drop the ball down into the playing field.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The game has a home button in the upper left corner and a sound control button in the upper right corner.
    • The top center of the game shows your current score and your prior best score.

    • This game is a unique spin on 2048. Rather than sliding tiles side to side or up and down you drop a ball from high above into a container.
      • When balls of the same numerical value touch they merge into a single ball valued at twice the smaller ball value.
      • The sequence of merging is 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1,024, & 2,048.
    • Each time you drop a ball you get another ball to drop, which can vary in value.
    • Balls with higher numerical values are larger.
  • 2048 Mode
    • Merge balls until you get a ball valued at 2048.
    • The game ends when a ball passes through the horizontal fill line near the top of the container, or when you make it to 2048.
  • Endless Mode
    • You keep playing after merging to 2048 & can merge all the way up to 16,384 (which is 3 additional doublings after 2048).
    • The game ends when a ball passes through the horizontal fill line near the top of the container, or when you make it to 16,384.
  • Tips
    • In general it is best not to try to force matches that do not quite fit, as the balls can get stuck, preventing you from making other matches.
    • Try to keep lower valued balls near the top & sides of the playing field.
      • When you get a lower value ball stuck under balls try to merge those above it around to expose the lower value ball again.
    • Try to work in sequence so that you create chain reactions that merge many sets of balls in a row.
    • Whenever you create a long chain re-evaluate the layout of the remaining balls to see where it makes sense to try to merge.
