How to Play

As a frog, catch as many bugs as you can before the timer runs out.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select and hold on the leaf at the bottom right corner to begin.
    • Select the music button on the bottom left corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
    • Your high score appears below the leaf on the bottom right corner of the screen.

      • Left click to dart out the tongue
      • Left click and hold to move to a nearby lily pad.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the screen to dart out the tongue.
      • Tap and hold to move to a nearby lily pad.

    • Pause button

    • Top right corner (top-down):
      • Best score

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • As a frog, shoot out your tongue to capture insects that fly nearby.
    • Pick up power ups to gain a temporary bonus.
    • Move from one lily pad to the next to go where more insects are flying.
    • Eat as many insects as you can before the timer runs out.
      • You have 30 seconds on the timer.
      • When the timer expires, the game ends.
  • Power ups
    • The game randomly generates power ups as you play.
      • These are left behind by some of the insects you eat.
      • To use them, catch them with your tongue like any other insect.
      • If you don’t pick them up, they will disappear in a few seconds.
    • There are 3 kinds of power ups:
      • Extra time: Gives you extra seconds to play
      • Light bulb: Attracts insects to you
      • 0.5: Slows down the movement of the insects by half
    • You can easily accumulate many power ups when you use the light bulb power up.
      • Because the insects are drawn to you, the game will generate power ups much closer to you.
      • Getting extra light power ups alone will keep the effect going for a long time.
  • Scoring
    • The number of points you earn from the insects you collect varies.
    • In general, the farther the insect is, the more points you get from catching them.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like idle clicker games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
