How to Play

Tap to jump to avoid enemies in this infinite scrolling tyrannosaurus running game.

  • Playing the Game
    • Tap on the screen to start the game.
    • Your tyrannosaurus automatically runs to the right. The game starts off slow but your character speeds up as you progress.
    • You gain points based on how far you travel before getting hit.
    • Your high score is stored in your local web browser.
    • Tap the screen, click your mouse, or press the up arrow to jump to avoid low flying birds and cactus.
      • Do not jump into high flying birds.
      • Keep in mind cactus are fixed on the ground and birds tend to move toward you faster as they are flying toward you.
      • Once you hit a bird or cactus the game is over.

    You lead a dinosaur down an endless path blocked by cacti and crossed by pterosaurs. Each time you pass an obstacle, you either jump or you don’t. It goes on as long as you don’t hit something. The cacti are static hazards. The pterosaurs, meanwhile, will try to trip you up as you approach them. The dinosaur runs faster further into the game, which adds an extra element of difficulty.

    It’s like that one game in Chrome when you don’t have an Internet connection. The main difference is that tes controls are much easier to get a handle on. That said, expect to spend a lot longer building up your high score.

    If you’re looking for a fun and intense endless running game, check out T-Rex runner. This 2-d game has simple controls. Just press the up arrow key for the T-rex to jump. You don’t have to worry about moving forward because it runs automatically. The longer you play the game, the faster your T-rex will run. You score higher points the longer you keep running.

    As a tip, focus on cacti blocking your way. Press up on time before your T-rex trips. A bit later into the game, expect purple flying dinosaurs coming your way. If they are flying low enough, make sure to jump. But if they are high up, avoid jumping so as not to hit them. It’s a simple game but it really requires fast reflexes. It gets challenging when the T-rex moves very fast and you have a hard time anticipating your jumps. It’s a fun game I like to play now and then.
