How to Play

Push the boxes around to clear yourself a path toward the X.

• Starting the Game
  • At the center of the welcome screen:
    • Select New Game to begin a new session.
    • Select Continue to continue your previous session.
  • On the top right corner are the following controls (top-down)
    • Select the music button to turn the game’s music on or off
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s sound effects on or off.
    • Select the exclamation point button to view the game’s developer information.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard, press the arrows to move.
      • Tap the up arrow key to move up a square.
      • Tap the down arrow key to move down a square.
      • Tap the right arrow key to move right a square.
      • Tap the left arrow key to move left a square.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers and swipe to move.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Game screen (top row):
      • Level number
      • Reset button: Restarts the level
      • Pause button: Opens the pause menu
    • Pause menu
      • Top:
        • Play button: Resumes the game
      • Bottom:
        • Grid button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Push the blocks out of the way or use them to solve level puzzles.
      • You can use blocks to cover holes and press buttons.
        • Not every block in a level is useful in this manner; some blocks need to be pushed into places where they can’t obstruct you.
      • Move the blocks with care.
        • You can only push the blocks, not pull them, as with most Sokoban-inspired games.
        • If a block gets trapped in a corner, you cannot move it.
    • Reach the X on the level to clear it.
      • The game automatically loads the next level upon completion.
  • Level features
    • Moveable boxes
      • You can push these boxes anywhere you need them to go.
      • Use them to cover holes and activate switches.
    • Holes
      • Holes are unpassable.
      • Push the boxes into the holes to fill them.
    • Spikes
      • Spikes block your way.
      • Push a block onto a red switch somewhere in the level to retract the spikes.
    • Buttons
      • Activate buttons by pushing a block on top of them.
      • There are 3 kinds of buttons:
        • Red buttons bring down spikes.
        • Yellow buttons remove yellow-colored boxes.
        • Blue buttons remove blue-colored boxes.
    • Colored boxes
      • Colored boxes block parts of a level.
      • They can be removed by placing a box on a button of its color.
    • Sliding boxes
      • These only appear in one level.
      • Push them aside in the order to clear a path.
    • Red X
      • This is where you must stand to complete each stage.
  • Levels
    • The game has 17 levels, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You have the option of replaying the game from the beginning or picking up from the last level you’ve unlocked on the welcome screen.
    • You can only replay the levels sequentially by starting a new session.
  • Tips
    • When you are pushing a box and want to change the direction you are pushing it you will need to have at least 2 open squares in a row to be able to change directions.
    • On some stages you need to place further along boxes before placing the nearer boxes, as placing the closest ones first can sometimes block the path to be able to move the boxes to the further locations.
    • On some Sokoban games you face time limits or move limits. On this game you do not, so it makes sense to move around the stage and explore a bit before committing to your strategy.
    • Like on most Sokoban games you can only push one box at a time. Some boxes have larger irregular shapes which connect multiple shelves at once, making them qualify as a single box. If there are two boxes in a row on adjacent cells you can not push either of them unless you first move one of them orthogonally so that you are only pushing a single box at a time.
