How to Play
Place breakable pink blocks, ladders, and moveable platforms on the level to help Joe get to the level exits.
Starting the Game
Click on the left button on the game welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
Initially only the first level is unlocked.
You must complete all 20 levels sequentially to unlock the subsequent levels.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
The welcome screen also has buttons for sound control & music control.
Use your mouse left click button to select an item type from the bottom then click on the square you want to lay that piece on in the field.
Repeat the process until you have created a safe path for Joe to the level exit.
If you make a mistake on item placement you can click an item again to pick it back up.
When your pieces have been laid click on the orange and white GO button at the bottom of the screen to send Joe in motion.
Tap the screen with a finger to select and lay items & to interact with buttons.
Controls & indicators
Underneath the puzzles it shows which pieces you have available to lay and the quantity of each piece type you have remaining.
At the bottom left of the puzzle it shows the current level number.
At the bottom right of the puzzle there are 4 buttons:
GO – puts Joe in motion.
Grid – activates or deactivates the grid markers in the background.
Restart – restart current level.
Pause – pause the game.
Joe automatically walks in whichever way he is facing until he either encounters a ladder to climb up or down, or runs into a block that forces him to change directions.
Joe does not move until after you press the GO button at the bottom of the screen.
This game offers unlimited continues.
You die if you move offscreen without touching the level exit, pass through an activated laser, or if you fall more than 2 squares at once.
You continue on the level you played with your prior block placements in place so that you can incrementally adjust them.
Fixed square types
Joe walks across blue platforms.
Ladders can not pass through the blue platforms.
Joe walks across red metal grating platforms.
You can only build ladders to climb or fall through the red grating.
Joe activates any switch button he touches.
Each time he touches any switch on the screen it reverses the status of all lasers on the screen.
Joe can pass through light yellow lasers that are inactive, but can not pass through bright yellow lasers that are active.
Adjustable square types
You have 3 square types you can set down: pink squares, green ladders, and moving platforms.
The pink squares and green ladders Joe touches can only be used once as they disappear after touched.
The moving green platforms move in whichever horizontal direction Joe was traveling when he landed on them.
Strategy & level walkthroughs
If you fall more than 2 squares at once you lose.
The red grating gives you hints on where you need to place ladders.
Ladders you climb can be angled one piece over from the edge of a platform and still be climbable.
When you ride the moveable platforms you can ride them to a destination platform or breakable block by having them parallel or inline. If you want to get pushed off of a movable block you can have the block that you run into one grid space above the row where the moveable platform is located.
When you want Joe to change directions be sure to have at least one extra square to the side you do not want him to go in order to get him to hit a block and turn to walk the other direction.
Below there are screenshots for levels 1 through 20 offering a walkthrough for each level.
