Basic rules
Select 2 identical Mahjong stones to remove them from the stack.
You can only pair free stones.
Free stones have no stone above them and at least one side (left or right) without an adjacent stone.
Free stones have a more vivid color and are easy to spot. Stones which are not free have a lighter color and an ice-type freeze over them.
You can only select free stones.
Finish the game in one of 2 ways.
If playing for a cumulative score, clear the entire stack before the level’s timer expires.
You start with 3 minutes and 33 seconds on the clock on the first level.
Later levels have more complex board designs and a longer time limit. For example, the limit on the second level is 3:49.
You fail the level if you don’t clear all the stones in time.
You can try again.
You can also end your playthrough. This lets you save your score in the leaderboard.
If playing a time trial game, you don’t stop until you clear the entire stack.

Your cumulative score is based on the points you’ve earned from a playthrough.
