How to Play

Draw lines or erase items from the levels to guide Grimace safely to the recipe & exit.

• Starting the Game
  • Press in the middle of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • If it is your first play through this will load the first stage.
    • If you have played the game before, your web browser saves your game progress and you will automatically start at the beginning of the furthest level you have unlocked.
  • The upper left corner of the welcome screen has buttons for sound control and language select. You can play in English or German.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen shows how many recipe scraps you have collected so far.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button and drag your mouse across the screen to either draw paths or erase items.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger & drag your finger across the screen to draw paths or erase items.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has buttons to return to the welcome screen and send Grimace in motion.
    • The current level number is shown top center. Underneath the level number it shows if the stage is a drawing or erasing stage. If it is an erasing stage, it shows how many eraser credits you have. You can draw an unlimited amount of ink on the screen on drawing levels.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has a level restart button.

  • Basics
    • This is a platforming game where you help the one and only Grimace complete a recipe by collecting pieces of paper with top secret information on it.
      • After collecting the recipe touch the checkered flag to exit to the next level.
    • On some stages you draw paths for Grimace to walk on, while on other stages you get eraser credits.
      • On drawing stages you can use an unlimited amount of ink & can draw as many different discrete lines as you need.
      • On eraser stages you get a set number of eraser credits. Each item you erase costs a credit.
      • After drawing or erasing press the move button in the upper left to put Grimace in motion.
    • Features
      • Spikes – fixed obstacles which you perish if you run into.
        • You can draw lines over them or erase them.
      • Blades – fixed or moving objects which you must also avoid.
        • You can draw line paths around them or erase them.
      • Spiked balls on chains
        • On eraser levels you can erase the chains holding them in place.
        • On ink levels you can draw lines under and around them to hold them in place and prevent Grimace from running into them.
      • Platforms – fixed areas which you walk across.
        • You can draw lines connecting them on ink levels.
        • You can erase them on eraser levels.
      • Springs – these provide a jump lift when you walk on them.
        • They can be walked on from either direction.
        • You can repeatedly walk on a spring multiple times.
        • Springs have different strength levels.
        • On some levels you need to erase some of the springs or draw lines going over them so that they do not cause Grimace to jump.
      • Portals – go in one and out the other.
        • On some stages you must use the portals, while on other stages you should skip them.
        • Portals can have ink walls drawn near them & you can also erase them.
      • Colored boxes – some stages have a colored background square on part of the screen. You can not draw ink or erase items inside these areas.
      • Eraser – on about half the stages you can erase items.
        • You can erase any of the above item types.
      • Ink – on about half the stages you can draw lines.
        • Draw lines which Grimace can walk across to make it through the level.
        • Lines you draw can be used to hold falling spiked balls in place.
  • Levels
    • This game has 38 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without erasing your game progress and starting the game over at the first level.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win by collecting the recipe scrap and then making it to the checkered flag.
      • You lose if you hit the flag before collecting the recipe, hit a spike or blade, or move out of the screen boundaries.
      • This game offers unlimited continues. When you die the game reloads the current level from the starting position.
      • If you get stuck you can hit the level restart button to restart the level.
  • Tips
    • Eraser levels
      • If you are unsure what to erase on an eraser level you set the level to play, see where an accident happens, and then replay the level again after erasing the item causing an issue.
      • You know an item has been fully erased when the eraser credit at the top is reduced.
      • If you let go of the eraser and the item reappears it means you did not fully erase it.
      • You can hold the eraser in a fixed position that moving blades move through to erase moving blades.
      • On some stages you have to time your movements so that the moving blades are not near where Grimace will walk when he is walking there.
      • On some levels you are given more eraser credits than needed to complete the stage.
    • Drawing levels
      • The drawing levels can be much harder than the eraser levels as you freeform draw rather than using a set number of erase credits.
      • On the drawing levels you have to be careful not to get stuck. There are many ways to get stuck:
        • create a path where the clearance is too narrow
        • creating a path that climbs too sharply
        • drawing a vertical line which comes back the direction you came from with a tiny lip Grimace gets stuck on
      • In addition to the risk of getting stuck, some other ways to fail a level include:
        • starting your movement at the wrong time
        • having an angle which is a bit too sharp, causing Grimace to jump into a blade
        • Grimace trying to climb a retaining wall rather than having it redirect his movement direction
        • the wall not being outside the path of a moving blade
      • Drawing tips
        • When drawing paths try to keep them essentially flat whenever possible.
          • When Grimace jumps he crosses a broader range of space & moves more slowly, putting you in the cross section of moving blades for a longer period of time
        • When drawing walls that are intended to prevent Grimace from running into something or change is direction be sure to draw ceilings above which curve back and ensure the regular wall goes straight down or curves slightly in the direction Grimace is walking.
        • You get unlimited drawing credits, so focus on the range movement limits of moving blades & draw those portions of your path first.
          • You can draw initial measurement lines which are wrong and then keep drawing additional lines closer to the boundary until you path is around the area the spinning blades move through.

  • The game is suited for players who like path drawing games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
