How to Play

As either the knight or the wizard, reach the door to escape the level.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select Start at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top left corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • The game is optimized for touchscreen devices but is still playable via mouse and keyboard.
    • With your mouse
      • Left click on the portrait button to switch between the wizard and the knight.
      • Left click on the circle button to attack or shoot.
      • Left click on the left and right arrows to walk as the knight.
      • Left click on the up arrow to jump as the knight.
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the W key to jump as the wizard.
      • Press the A key to walk left as the wizard.
      • Press the D key to walk right as the wizard.
      • Press the left arrow key to move both the wizard and knight left.
      • Press the right arrow key to move both the wizard and knight right.
      • Press the up arrow key to to jump as the wizard and the knight simultaneously
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the left and right arrows to move.
      • Tap on the portrait button to switch between the wizard and the knight.
      • Tap on the circle button to attack or shoot.
      • Tap on the up arrow to jump.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row:
      • Reset button: Restarts the level from the beginning
      • Pause button: Pauses the game and opens the pause menu
        • Back button (left)
    • Bottom row:
      • Left arrow

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Game mechanics
      • The knight can push nearby objects and use their sword to destroy objects.
      • The wizard can attack using the transform the knight into a cube of metal (but cannot reverse it).
      • The wizard can also turn random boxes into cubes of metal with his magic.
    • Objectives
      • Solve each level by using the knight and the wizard in tandem.
      • Either the wizard or the knight must reach the door.
    • Level features
      • Boxes
        • Use boxes to create platforms and stairs for the wizard and the knight to use.
        • Only the knight can push the boxes.
        • The knight cannot push two layers of boxes.
        • The boxes can only be pushed. If they get pushed to a corner, they’re stuck there.
      • Buttons
        • Buttons must be pushed to bring down barriers.
        • Physically touch the button to push it.
        • You can also use the wizard’s magic to push it.
      • Spikes
        • Spikes will instantly kill one of your team members if ever one of them makes contact.
        • Some levels will be rendered unwinnable if one member succumbs to the spikes prematurely.
      • Beams
        • The beam fires in intervals, which is crucial if you want to get past it.
        • The knight can use his sword to destroy the beam emitter.
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially. There are 12 levels in this game.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like simple platforming & room escape games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
