How to Play

As a bird, fly up as many branches as you can and collect coins on the way up.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
    • Your high score appears on the bottom center of the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on the screen to switch sides.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to switch sides.
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • The bird automatically moves up.
    • Left click or tap on the screen to have the bird move from one side to the next.
    • Earn points by collecting coins.
      • To collect the coins on either edge, simply fly past them.
      • To collect coins in between the sides, you must pass them by while you switch sides.
    • Avoid the branches.
      • Hitting them is an instant game over.
  • Scoring
    • Each coin has a different value:
      • Bronze coins are worth 5 points.
      • Sliver coins are worth 10 points.
      • Gold coins are worth 15 points.
    • Your score appears on the top right corner of the screen.
  • Strategy
    • Early vs late
      • Most of your time you are either on the left or right side of the tree.
      • There are some coins which are in the middle of the tree.
        • You have to time your jumps across precisely so you are moving across the tree to collect them.
        • Early in the game when the tree is moving slowly it is worth getting most middle coins.
        • As you advance through the game and get where the tree is moving faster & branches come more frequently it can make sense to ignore middle coins unless you can see the path ahead is clear.
    • Tree markings
      • There are snakes, the number 42, and other slogans carved into the tree.
      • You can pass across the tree over the top of any of these markings or animal shadows without it having any impact on your play.
      • The only things that can hurt you are tree branches.
