Downhill Snowboard Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Move left and right to avoid trees, making it as far as you can down the hill. Collect coins and use them to purchase new board designs.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the enlarge button on the top left corner to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
    • Select the shop button on the bottom left to open the shop screen.
    • Select the ranking button on the bottom right to see the universal score rankings.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and best score.
    • You can view the number of coins you’ve collected and your best score on the top center of the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the A key or the left arrow to move left.
      • Press the D key or the right arrow to move right.
    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the left arrow to move to the left.
      • Tap on the right arrow to move to the right.
      • Tap anywhere on the screen to select.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Top row
      • Pause button
      • Current score
      • Coins collected
    • Bottom row (touchscreen controls)
      • Left arrow
      • Right arrow
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Move from left to right to avoid hitting anything.
      • Move toward the ramps to do tricks and earn a score boost.
      • Collect as many coins as you can along the way down.
    • Don’t move offscreen.
    • If you hit a tree or go out of bounds, it’s game over.
    • The game over screen has the following options (from left to right):
      • Select the home button to quit and return to the welcome screen.
      • Select the reset button to start a new session.
      • Select the shop button to open the shop screen.
      • Select the leaderboard button to move to the leaderboar dscreen.
  • Scoring and ranks
    • You earn points as you move down the slope.
    • You earn 5 extra points each time you jump off a ramp.
    • On the game over screen, you have the option to submit your high score onto the leaderboard.
      • Type in your preferred nickname on the namespace provided.
      • When you’re done, select the send button to add it.
      • You can also type in your name and add it on the leaderboard by selecting the leaderboard button on the welcome screen.
    • Once you’re finished viewing the leaderboard, left click or tap anywhere or select the Esc key on your keyboard to close it.
  • Coins and customization
    • Pick up coins each time you ride downhill.
    • Use the coins to unlock customization options in the shop screen.
      • Open the shop screen by selecting its button on the welcome screen.
      • Select a locked customization option to open it.
      • There are 6 player characters and snowboards available in the game. Of these, 5 of each must be unlocked.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like endless skiing or snowboarding games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
