How to Play

Arrange a series of rectangles in the grid. Each rectangle can have only one number should represent the total area of each rectangle.

• Starting the Game
  • Select a grid size to begin:
    • 5 x 5 (25 cells)
    • 7 x 7 (49 cells)
    • 10 x 10 (100 cells)
    • 15 x 15 (225 cells)
  • Select Help to learn how to play the game.
  • Choose the game’s language from the drop-down list on the top right corner of the screen:
    • English
    • Spanish

  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

    • With your mouse:
      • Left click and drag on the cells to create a rectangle.
      • Left click on a rectangle to clear it.

    • With your fingers:
      • Tap and drag on the cells to create a rectangle.
      • Tap on a rectangle to clear it.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The game’s indicators are located on the right side of the screen. From the top, these are as follows:
      • The game’s logo
      • The present date
      • The timer
      • The first row of buttons, from left to right:
        • Pause button: Momentarily stops the game’s timer.
        • Reset button: Returns everything to the way it was when you began
      • The second row of buttons, from left to right:
        • Music button: Toggles the game’s music
        • Sound effects button: Toggles the game’s audio cues.
        • Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full screen modes
• Game Play
  • Generating puzzles
    • The game generates a different puzzle for every day of the year.
    • You can choose up to 365 to 366 different puzzles for each grid
    • You can play again by doing the following:
      • Choose the puzzle of a different date.
      • Select next on the winning screen. This will let you play the next day’s puzzle.
      • Choose a different grid size.
  • Basic rules
    • Create a series of rectangles that cover the entirety of the grid.
    • Each rectangle must contain one number.
    • The number must accurately represent the area of the rectangle.
  • Hints
    • Create the bigger rectangles first. They determine the placement of the smaller ones.
    • Try not to click on any of your established rectangles unless you want to remove them. You might erase them by accident.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for people of all ages who like logic puzzle games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
