How to Play

Move the fish around using the trident. Form groups of 3 or more identically colored fish in a row to clear them from the stack.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the space bar to grab and release fish.
      • Press the left and right arrows to move the trident.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although this game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Form groups of 3 or more identically colored fish to clear them from the stack.
      • Grab a fish from the stack using the trident.
      • Return the fish to the stack in the position you want to place it.
      • Repeat the process until you form a valid group.
    • Fish will move toward the topmost area unless another fish is above them.
      • Sometimes, if you move a fish to a pair of identically colored fish, these will automatically form a row even if they don’t end up lining up.
      • The two fish will be cleared, but the fish you moved will not due to it not being part of the line.
    • Any valid row of fish that forms as more fish appear will automatically be cleared.
    • Over time, more fish appear on the playing field.
      • The timer bar indicates how long it’ll take before another set of fish appears on the topmost row of the playing field.
      • Keep clearing and moving fish for as long as you can.
    • The game ends when the stack reaches two spaces below the playing field.
      • Although the game will not end when the first fish reaches the area below the stack, the trident cannot get that fish. Thus, the game will eventually end.
    • On the game over screen are the following options:
      • Select the reset button at the center to start a new session.
      • Select the list button on the top left corner to return to the welcome screen.
  • Scoring
    • You receive points each time you clear a row of fish:
      • Each vertical row of three or more is worth 10 points.
      • Each horizontal row of three or more is worth 15 points.
    • Your best score appears on the game over screen.
