How to Play

Guess the combination of numbers that will allow you to hack into and open the safes and retrieve the jewels within.

• Starting the Game
  • Select Play at the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the bottom center to begin.
    • Select the music button on the top right corner to turn the game’s music on or off.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on the buttons to select them.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the buttons to select them.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Top row:
      • Top right corner (top-down):
        • Timer
        • Diamonds retrieved
      • Level number
      • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Reset button: Starts the level from the beginning
      • Music button
    • Second row:
      • Number of combinations tried
    • Third row
      • Number pad
    • Bottom row
      • Gems collected
      • Question mark button: Opens the game’s instructions
• Game Play
  • Basic rules:
    • Identify the combination that would open the safe.
      • Press a combination of 3 numbers on the number pad.
      • You only need to select each number once.
      • If you’re satisfied with the combination, select the check button to input it.
      • Otherwise, select the X button to clear it.
    • The numbers involved in the combination are highlighted on the list at the top row.
      • On the leftmost part of the list entry is the number combination you’ve tried.
      • Each number on the right part of a list entry indicates the number of correct guesses you made.
        • Green shows the number of guesses you made correctly.
        • Yellow shows the number of guesses that are correct, but are in the wrong order.
        • Red shows the number of incorrect guesses.
    • Based on the data present, use logic to determine the correct combination of numbers.
    • Crack the safe before the timer runs out.
    • You have 10 tries to guess the combination correctly.
      • If you don’t solve the puzzle before you run out of guesses, you fail the level.
      • The game also ends in failure if you don’t solve the level in time.
    • Upon completing the mission, you have the following options available on the bottom row of the win screen:
      • Select the home button on the left to return to the welcome screen.
      • Select the reset button to play the level again.
      • Select the arrow button to proceed to the next level.
    • The game over screen shows a variation on the win screen without the arrow button.
  • Gem value
    • Each of the gems you retrieve has a potential value of 100.
      • Every time you fail to guess, the gem’s potential value goes down by 10.
      • 10 is the lowest score you can get from finishing a level.
    • Your score (i.e. the total value of each gem you collect) is cumulative across all the levels.
      • Finishing a level adds that value to your total score.
      • If you replay a level, the new score you received will also be added to your total score.
  • Levels
    • There are 150 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You cannot replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten unless you replay the current level you finished.
  • Special diamonds
    • Among the gems in the museum are 50 special diamonds.
    • You receive them by finishing the level they’re in.
    • Browse through your collection of special diamonds using the diamond button on the bottom left corner.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like simple Mastermind-inspired games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
