How to Play

Create a row of 3 markers on the grid to win. Lay a marker on any of the triggers in the variant games activates an event that alters the board.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select a game mode on the bottom row.
    • Select Play below the title of the game to begin.
  • Select Fullscreen on the top right corner to switch between windowed and full screen modes

  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on the space to place in your marker.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the space with your fingers to lay down your marker.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row, left to right:
      • Get back button: This returns you to the welcome screen.
      • Fullscreen button
    • Bottom row, top down:
      • Game mode
      • Reset button: Lets you start a new game.
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • This game is always played on a 3 x 3 grid.
    • You always play as the X and the computer always plays as the O.
    • Create a full row composed of 3 of your own markers to win against your opponent. The row can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
    • In modes other than Normal, a trigger is hidden beneath one of the 9 squares.
      • Once you or the computer lays a marker on that square, the trigger activates.
      • The trigger has various effects on the game for both players, which vary depending on the game mode.
  • Game modes
    • Normal: The standard tic-tac-toe game. There are no triggers in this game.
    • Switch: Activating this trigger will switch one marker for the opposite one.
    • Bomb: Lay down any marker on the triggered space and it will be destroyed.
    • Swap: When the trigger is activated, the game swaps one player’s marker for any of the other player’s anywhere on the board.
    • Shift: When activated, the game changes all your Xs into Os, and vice versa.
