How to Play

Drop and merge pieces of sushi for as long as you can.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select Start at the bottom center to begin.
    • Select the question mark button to read the game’s tutorial.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse:
      • Left click and drag to move the sushi.
      • Release to drop the sushi.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on your screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Sushi button: Shows you the type of sushi you can unlock in-game
    • Score
    • Next sushi
    • Timer
    • Speaker button: Turns the game’s sounds on or off
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • You begin with an empty grid and a falling piece of sushi.
      • There are 12 pieces of sushi in this game.
      • The game generates the first three pieces; the rest must be formed from merging.
    • Place the sushi piece somewhere on the grid.
    • Merge identical pieces together to get a piece that’s one value greater.
      • Merging multiple pieces at once will increase the end value of the merged piece.
      • For instance, if you merge three 2s, you get a 4.
    • Repeat the process until you reach the 12th piece.
    • Don’t let the stack get too high.
  • Scoring
    • Each pair of tiles you merge is worth 2 points.
    • You can compare your latest and best scores on the game over screen.
  • Winning vs. losing
    • Your aim is to create the sushi piece with the value of 11.
      • You can create as many 11 tiles as you can fit, though you can’t merge past it.
      • The pieces valued at 11 simply stay in the grid.
    • The game ends when the stack of sushi breaches the topmost of the screen.
      • This applies even when the stack goes back down immediately after.
      • Select Start on the game over screen to play again.
  • Tips
    • Plan your moves in advance. While placing the current piece, consider the location of the next one.
    • See if you can merge many identical sushi pieces at once.
      • This will help you create higher-value pieces much faster.
      • A L-shape match of 3 allows you to skip a value (e.g. 3 tiles worth 3 each merge to a 5).
      • Creating a row of 3 along with a fourth centered at the bottom below allows you to match 4 at a time. This would merge 4 tiles worth 3 each into a 6 tile.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like simple food games and numerical merging games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
