How to Play

Match the number that represents the difference of a subtraction equation.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Start at the center to begin.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to select.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top left corner:
      • Level number
    • Bottom row (left to right):
      • Back button: Quits the level and returns you to the level selection screen
      • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Reset button: Restarts the level and lets you play again
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a set of 10 cards that are face down.
      • On the face side of the card are either a single number (the difference) and an subtraction equation.
        • The difference is the result of subtraction, the number after the subtrahend (amount subtracted) is removed from the minuend (amount to subtract from).
        • All the equation cards in each level will have the same subtrahend.
      • Match the difference with the equation that it results from.
    • Select the cards to put one of them face up, then select another.
      • If the cards don’t match (e.g. both equations, both differences, wrong answer), they will return to their original face-down position.
      • If the cards match, they will remain face up.
    • Keep playing until all the cards are face up.
    • There is no timer in this game. Keep playing for as long as you want or need to.
  • Levels
    • Choose a level on the level selection screen.
      • Levels represent a subtrahend or number being subtracted. Every level number is the amount subtracted.
      • Each level is preceded by a minus sign.
    • All levels are unlocked at the beginning.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like simple math games & memory card matching games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
