Postman Run Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

How to Play

As a postman, deliver the packages by pushing them to the marked slots in the correct order.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button on the bottom left corner to begin.
    • Select the question mark button on the top left corner to open the game’s tutorial screen.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard, press the arrows to move the postman.
      • The left arrow moves him left.
      • The right arrow moves him right.
      • The up arrow moves him up.
      • The down arrow moves him down.
    • You can also tap your mouse left click button when hovering over the on-screen arrow buttons to move.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the arrow buttons with your fingers to move the postman.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Top row:
      • Home button: Quits the level and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Reset button: Returns the level to the way it was at the beginning
    • Bottom row (touchscreen controls):
      • Left arrow
      • Right arrow
      • Up arrow
      • Down arrow
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • The game follows basic Sokoban rules:
      • You can only push a gift into the desired direction by pushing from behind.
      • You cannot pull a gift.
        • If it gets pushed into a corner, it is stuck there.
        • If ever this happens, you must restart the level.
      • Place the gifts in any of the marked slots to deliver them.
    • The order you need to push the gifts is often circuitous.
      • Because of the way the game works, going for the obvious move may block your way sooner that expected.
    • In some levels, you have the option to push a bomb to clear your path.
      • The bomb will activate the moment you get near it.
      • You have only a brief moment before the bomb explodes.
      • Push the bomb toward the target area, then leave.
      • If the bomb blows up the postman or any of the gifts, you must restart the level.
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • On the win screen are the following controls:
      • Select the next button on the right side to load the next level. Only when you’ve loaded the next level would it be unlocked.
      • Select the reset button at the center to replay the current level.
      • Select the grid button on the left side to quit and return to the welcome screen.
    • Each time you reload the game, you automatically begin at the last level you unlocked.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like Sokoban games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
