  - This game has 3 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
    - You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the beginning of the first stage.
  - Winning vs losing
    - You beat a level by making it to the exit box at the end of the stage.
    - You die if you hit spikes or fireballs.
    - This game offers unlimited continues.
      - You start at the location of the most recent red flag you have crossed.
      - If you die before passing a red flag you start at the beginning of the stage.
- Tips
  - Building a ladder
    - If you are jumping straight up you can stand on a left or right movement key then drag the other key into play just below it, select the lower key, jump, and then release the lower key selection to place it a square or two above where the old jumping key location was.
    - This process can be repeated to create a ladder.
    - On the third level you can skip a portion of the stage by building your ladder up to the second area & then continuing to build up to the third then jump across, avoiding the portion of the level where you move to the left and then back to the right.
  - Double step
    - You can stand with a leg on each of two different keys at the same time, allowing you to remove either key while your character remains standing on the other key.
  - Timing movements
    - All enemy fireballs fire at a regular cadence.
    - If you are having trouble timing a movement observe the patterns.
    - Sometimes you have to go just after the third fireball fires in a sequence of 3 and run quickly until you have passed the area.
  - Tricky ending
    - On the final level near the end of the game when you right through the area with the blue blockers & then back left on the top row it is a bit tricky to make it across the second blue area.
    - Entering the area you should stand on the key which prevents you from moving left. This block should be to the far left of the right blue area & one cell below it.
    - While standing there place a key on the right side of the spikes to your left.
    - Jump straight up, then click on the “no left” key to remove it from the field so you can move left on that jump onto the other key.
    - While you are on that key you can move left slightly & then use the double key movement.
    - From there you can use the ladder movement to get one square higher.
    - Then time your jump across to avoid the 3 fireballs coming up at you.

  - Levels are not timed, so take your time to measure up the sequence before walking, jumping, or falling through where there is an electrical charge or pulsing laser.
  - Try to shoot the flying enemies from afar if possible as they can be frustrating to hit. If they get close to you run away to get some distance between you and them, then engage once more.
  - If the platform you are on has spinning blades try to stand beyond where the blades can hit, or have a plan to jump over them if they get close.
  - Try to jump over fixed spikes slightly before you need to so you don’t accidentally bump into them.
  - If you get lower than a 3-star rating on a level keep playing through the rest of the game and then come back to replay previously beat levels to try to earn a higher rating on them.
  - Try to shoot the large robot before it appears on the screen or as it first appears on the screen. Be prepared to run away if the big robot gets close to you.

    - One character can stand on top of the other character while the lower character moves horizontally. This is helpful for if you need to get Aidan across a large lava pit or Emma across a large pool of water.
    - Characters can act as platforms for each other. When one character is standing on top of the other you can jump the top character, jump the bottom character, and then jump the top character again after they land on the bottom character in midair.

  - If either character dies you restart the level at the beginning. Characters can die a variety of ways:
    - walk through the wrong kind of liquid
    - run into an arrow
  - Getting stuck
    - In this game you have to activate switches, use boxes with precision, and collect things in the correct order.
      - It is quite easy to get stuck in a part of the level where it is impossible to make it to the finish.
    - If you get stuck you can click the pause button in the upper right corner and then hit the RETRY LEVEL button in the pause menu to play the level again.

    - Darwin can use pipes to reach isolated parts of the map.
    - Only Gumball is strong enough to lift boxes.
    - Gumball can jump higher than Darwin.
  - Switch between characters as needed.
  - Reach the end of the level door with both characters to clear it.
- Activating switches
  - Switches are a crucial part of the game.
    - Some switches open doors.
    - Other switches activate platforms.
    - All switches are color coded and activate the platform or door of their color.
  - Switches come in two flavors: levels and buttons.
    - Lever switches stay activated once flipped.
    - Button switches must be stepped on to remain active.
      - You can either step on the button, have an enemy stand on it, or drop a box on it to activate the button.
      - You can sometimes find more than 1 button switch in a level. They will activate the same thing.
      - On many levels you need to take a picture of an enemy to have them dazed by the flash while they stand on a button.
- Dealing with enemies
  - Most enemies stay on a particular platform.
    - Gumball and Darwin can jump over boxes that most (though not all) enemies can not.
    - Lucy Simian and the giant pink teddy bear can jump over boxes. Lucy Simian can also go through some doors.
  - As Darwin, you can use the camera to daze most of your foes.
    - Before you can daze characters, you must first acquire the camera.
    - Most, but not all, foes can be dazed. The giant foot enemy can not.
    - Once dazed, a foe will not be able to attack you. You can easily move past them as long as they’re dazed.
    - A dazed foe is only in that state for a little while. Make the most of it. There is a pie graph above them showing how much time the daze state has left.
  - You can sometimes use dazed foes to activate buttons.
- Endgame
  - At the 4th stage of a level, you must take a photo of one of Gumball’s and Darwin’s classmates.
  - Reach the end of the stage to meet up with the character in question.
  - As Darwin, take a picture of the classmate to finish the level.

How to Play

Make your way through each level while collecting as many stars as you can. Avoid touching dangerous spikes and don’t get hit by the hallway monitoring robots.

Starting the Game
- Click the blue white and orange PLAY button on the game’s welcome screen.
  - This will bring up the level select screen.
  - If it is your first time playing the game only the first level will be unlocked.
    - The subsequent 35 levels are only unlocked when prior levels have been completed.
    - Your web browser automatically stores your beat levels and star ratings for each level.
  - You can go back and play previously beaten levels to try to achieve a higher star rating.
    - Your stars from prior plays where you made it to the end are saved, so you only have to get any remaining stars you did not already collect.
- The game’s welcome screen also contains a sound control button in the upper right corner.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use the left and right arrows to move left or right.
    - In some screens they may work as expected while in other screens they may work backward.
    - Technically you are not controlling Darwin directly, rather you are controlling how his moves are interpreted through the school’s security camera system.
  - Use the spacebar to pick up or drop a box, activate a switch, enter a chute, or exit the level door.
  - Use the up arrow to jump.
- Mobile
  - On mobile there is a direction pad in the lower left corner of the screen, but this game is much harder to play on mobile than on desktop.
- The top of the game shows your current level number and then has 3 buttons for restart level, pause game and sound control.
- The bottom of the game shows how many of the 3 stars you have obtained in the current level so far.
Game Play
- Level Difficulty
  - The game starts off easy but the difficulty level ramps up quickly.
  - Initially levels are straightforward with cameras being sequential and the movement buttons working as depicted, but as you advance some screens are out of order while others have the arrow keys work backward and/or are upside down.
    - It is easy to get disoriented when you move between screens where the arrow keys then function backward on one screen versus the next.
  - After level 11 coffee is spilt on the security camera control circuitry which causes additional glitches. Where something is flashing gray and white snow indicates a part of the level that has been disappeared or disabled.
    - You have to drop boxes on switches to change the level layout – disappearing some parts of the level design while turning other parts solid.
    - You may need to use the same box on multiple different switches at different points in time.
    - In some cases you may need to grab an item from one screen & drop it off a ledge in another screen.
  - After level 25 Principal Nigel Brown grows more concerned and introduces robotic hallway monitors to the the game.
    - You need to avoid touching the hallway monitors.
    - In many cases beating the level and collecting all the stars in it requires you to adjust some switch settings with boxes or standing on them to help guide robots along so they flip other switches.
    - While levels are not timed, some jumps require impeccable timing based on the movements of the robots and the switches they interact with.
- Scoring
  - You can score up to three stars in each level by collecting them, though you can unlock subsequent levels with a zero star rating.
  - You can go back and collect the remaining stars you missed from levels you already beat.
- Dying
  - You die if you hit the spikes, hit a hall monitor, or fall off platform in a way which does not have you land on another safe area.
    - On some levels you are required to fall across screens to progress, so some aspects of the game are trial and error.
  - If you die you can repeat the level an infinite number of times.
  - Some games use boxes as things with hard edges that prevent you running past them onto adjacent spikes.
    - This game is not one of those games.
    - It is exceptionally easy to accidentally run into spikes even if you thought you had them blocked with boxes.
- Level 36 walkthrough
  - You start in the top square in the center role.
  - The square just underneath it is like the secret forest in the original Legend of Zelda.
    - Walk into the second square in the center, grab the box, and walk back left toward where you came from.
    - When you exit the screen you will re-enter the same exact square again but on the right.
    - Drop the box to where you can jump on it and climb up to the top side of the right.
      - You can drop the box over the spikes if you want to collect the star by jumping right from the left platform above. The goal of putting the box on the spikes there is not to help you get to the star, but rather to give you a spot to land when you do so.
    - From the top platform in the center square walk across right and you will re-enter on the left where the garbage chute is.
    - Enter the garbage chute and you will pop out at the top part of the top screen on the left. Your character will be hard to see as you are located perfectly behind the level number. Super annoying.
    - You need to jump across the top row of the top square, but the center pieces you land on are only there for a fraction of a second when the robot on the bottom is rolling over the right switch.
      - You have to jump even before the platform is there, take a step or two on it & then immediately jump again.
      - Once you get across the top of the top square there is a garbage chute you can go through. It is perfectly aligned behind the sound control button.
      - This will pop you out in the chute in the left screen, so time your move to where the hallway monitoring robot patrolling that area does not hit you.
    - You can grab the star on the left side of the left screen and stand on the elevated block away from the robot. Then time your next move to get the third star based on the movement of the robot which tours the bottom screen.
    - Then time going to the bottom right to pick up that star without being seen by the hall monitor.
    - Next you climb the top right side of the leftmost screen. Move across to the subsequent screen which is the bottom screen. Stop just short of the spikes.
      - These spikes require precise timing. The only go away for a fraction of a second when the bottom robot rolls over the left switch.
      - Jump right, timing your landing to be near the spikes when the robot is over that switch.
      - As soon as you land immediately jump right again.
      - Climb the right edge of the screen and you will make your way to the right frame with the exit to the outside world.
Target Audience
- This game is fun for Gumball fans of all ages.
  - The early levels are quite easy, but when you get up into the 20s and 30s some younger kids might get frustrated by the increased difficulty level, particularly when movements need to be timed based on the actions of hall monitoring robots.
- There are no adult themes in the game.

This game is a ridiculously difficult 10-level room escape platformer where you die on a single hit and get a set number of lives to complete each level. Each time you die you start at the beginning of that level. This is a reskin of the original Among Dungeon. The first version of the game had crew members and showed pixelated blood when a crew member died.

Try to make your way through the levels.
Die.
Try again. And perhaps use your own previous body as a jumping point for your next attempt.
Don’t forget to hit the flap poles along your way to open up a path to the cup at the end of the level.

Game Strategy
- Oh that was so cheap. … is the thought that most constantly runs through one’s mind while playing this game.
- This game is brutally difficult.
  - On the positive side the game lets you continue your quest on the furthest unlocked level.
  - On the negative side, each guy you use in a particular level starts at the very beginning of that level.
  - In many cases you need to have your character die in a specific position so that you can then jump on them using the subsequent guy.
  - When entering new screens the mental model I have is … what would be the cheapest thing they could do here. That helps me fall at an angle, slowly enter doors & wait to bypass what would be a quick hit, be prepared to fall back to the side if I jump onto a new screen, etc.
- Most levels have a big rock which blocks your path.
  - To clear the way you need to find the flagpole and touch it.
  - The trick there is you often have to jump to hit the pole and the pole often has spikes at its footing on either side, requiring a precise landing or you spend a life.
- Each level has a different number of lives to get to the goal.
  - Getting more lives may at first seem like a blessing until you realize some of those lives must be spent in specific ways in specific locations throughout the level.
Target Audience
- This game would likely be fun for most older children and adults, though it would be frustratingly difficult for most young children.
- When the frog dies sometimes there is a bit of cartoon blood. Other than that there is no adult-like themes in this game.

    - You can have 2 arrows active on the level at a time. If you fire additional arrows it will remove prior arrows.
- Levels
  - This game has 15 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
    - You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
  - Winning vs losing
    - You beat a level by grabbing the key and safely passing through the open door.
    - You lose if you run into an enemy, run into a spike, or drown in the rising water.
    - This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of the level you lost.
- Tips
  - Building ladders
    - When building ladders with arrows it is helpful to shoot them on the way up.
    - Place the lowest arrow first & then the next higher arrow, so that if the second arrow does not get you high enough you can shoot a third and make the first arrow position disappear.
  - Building bridges
    - Where there are wooden knobs on each side of a passage you can shoot an arrow that goes back and forth like a moving platform.
    - Where that does not exist you can still make the gap smaller. You can shoot an arrow on each side of a gap so you bounce off of one side & then have a smaller gap to cross to land on the other arrow on the other side.
  - Hitting enemies
    - Whenever possible it is best to hit enemies from afar so you are not fighting them while dealing with thorns on the ground and other problems.
    - You can’t shoot through crates, so you have to wait until the enemy is between you and a crate to shoot them.
    - If you are too close to a crate behind you then your arrow may stick in the wall behind you.
    - In some cases you have to build ladders with arrows and then take aim from there to hit the enemy from afar.
    - On some levels the arrow can also be used as a shelter or ceiling to block falling purple poison and other such risks.
    - If you fire more than 2 arrows at a time the earliest arrows may disappear before they hit anything.
  - Quick start
    - On some levels with a tight clearance, you can start moving before the level fully loads, so that you have more time to complete the level before the rising water drowns you.

- The game is suited for players who like simple platformer games.
