How to Play
Find Butterbean the cat across the time stream. To get on his trail, set your analog or digital clock to specific times of day.
Starting the Game
Select the green and white play button to open the welcome screen.
On the welcome screen, select the orange arrow button on the center right corner.
Toggle the game’s audio through the sound button on the lower right corner.
A cutscene will play explaining the game’s premise. Select anywhere to skip it.
Game Controls
Desktop
With your mouse, left click to select.
Touchscreen devices
Tap the screen with your fingers and use it as a mouse.
Game Play
Interface
The list button on the top left corner brings you back to the level selection screen.
Select the question mark button on the bottom right corner to learn more about ante meridian (AM) and post meridian (PM) times.
Next to the question mark button is the sound button.
Basic
Choose between 2 methods of telling time:
Analog
Select the minute hand and dial it forward or backward to change the time.
Choose between AM and PM at the bottom center of the clock face.
Digital
Use 3 buttons to change the hour, minute, and AM/PM settings.
Each time you change the clock, the game environment gets lighter or darker, mimicking the time of day.
In each level, you must set the clock according to the time mentioned in the bottom row.
When you’re done setting the clock, select check on the lower left corner.
If your answer is correct, a colored bar will appear on the meter at the bottom row.
Answer each question correctly 10 times to clear the level.
Levels
There are 4 levels to this game, plus a practice mode.
Each level must be unlocked in the proper order. Only
Levels are themed after periods and use a different way of telling the time.
Practice mode (2016): Practice telling the time based on an analogue and digital clock.
Level 1 (The Jurassic Period): Set the clock to a standard notation, based on the hour.
Level 2 (The High Middle Ages): Set the clock to a precise time of day.
Level 3 (The American Revolution): Determine the time based on additive or subtractive terms (e.g. 10 past 2AM, 15 to 12AM).
Level 4 (The Future): The questions are phrased as mathematics problems based on situations that Butterbean gets into. Set the clock to when Butterbean is likely to finish his task if he started at a certain time.
Target Audience
The game is suited for children learning how to tell time on clocks.
The game has no adult content.
