How to Play

Seek out Elinor and her friends across the playground and woods. Then, find good places for them to hide.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the purple play button below the title to begin the game.
  • Elinor will describe the rules of the game and discuss the game’s controls as you play.

  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to find hidden characters.
    • Left click and drag to explore the play area.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use your fingers like a mouse.

  • Playable characters
    • Elinor Rabbit
    • Ari Bat
    • Olive Elephant
    • Koa the Wombat
    • Mary and Lizzie Goat
  • Basic rules
    • At the opening screen, choose between single and two-player mode.
    • Seeking
      • Find the characters by selecting them where they stand.
      • Some characters will take longer to find than others.
      • The first character found will be the one to seek next.
    • Hiding
      • Select the characters from the top center corner.
      • Drag them to various highlighted hiding spots.
      • The other player (computer or user-controlled) will try to find them.
  • Cut scenes
    • Every so often, a cut scene will play. This usually indicates the following:
      • A new friend will join in.
      • Elinor and friends will discuss the fundamentals of camouflage.
    • After each cut scene, the nature of the game will change.
      • You will unlock more of the playable area.
      • The game will introduce a new mechanic like hiding.
  • Seeking
    • Seeking is the first thing you do in this game.
    • Characters get better at hiding as the game progresses.
    • If a friend hides somewhere not particularly good, the seeker will point it out!
  • Hiding
    • In most games, you only need to choose a good hiding spot for each character.
    • Hide characters based on the items that match the color of their skin and clothes.
    • In some levels, you can give Elinor and other characters extra clothes to blend in better with their surroundings.
    • Each hiding spot has a rating based on how difficult it was to find the character.
      • The best hiding spots will have 3-star ratings.
      • Not every location is a good hiding spot for a character.
    • Replay the level if you want to hide the characters in better hiding spots.
    • After you play through the game once
  • Two Player vs One Player Mode
    • In one player mode you try to find two characters in a limited space & then across rounds you will later try to find more characters in a larger world. After a number of levels you then hide one or more of the characters and the computer tries to find them. After you play enough rounds you can also select to play in an autumn forest themed level rather than playing near the school yard playground. You also have the ability to change the outfit of the characters on some levels to better help them camouflage.
    • In two player mode the first player hides the characters and the second one tries to find them.
  • Seasons
    • This game starts off in Summer and as you play through a season you unlock the next.
    • Autumn follows Summer.
    • Winter follows Autumn.
    • After unlocking or beating a season you can go through and play any of the unlocked seasons at any time in any order.
• Target Audience
  • This game is suitable for young nature lovers and is an excellent way to teach children the concept of camouflage.
  • There is no adult content in this game.
