How to Play
Tap keys and practice playing tunes on a basic major scale. You can learn to play Jingle Bells and Happy Birthday by playing the in-game songs. You can also record melodies or your own original songs and play them back.
Starting the Game
Once the screen loads, it immediately displays the virtual xylophone.
You can click or tap on the xylophone keys to play a tune.
There are 8 xylophone keys that comprise one basic major scale.
Each xylophone key is labeled with its corresponding note letter name below it.
1st, Pink key – C
2nd Red key – D
3rd Orange key – E
4th Yellow key – F
5th Dark Green key – G
6th Light Green key – A
7th Light Blue key – B
8th Gray key – C
You can only tap or click one xylophone key at a time.
The simulator does not allow you to tap multiple notes at the same time.

2 Pre-recorded Songs
This interactive xylophone simulator comes with 2 pre-recorded songs.
The songs are Jingle Bells and Happy Birthday. Just select a song on the upper right portion of the screen.
To play a song, simply select the pink “Play Song” button beside the song bar.
While playing, the screen shows each key that is being played. A key blinks when it is tapped.
Showing the keys live while playing the song helps kids learn how to play the song on their own.
Using the Recorder
Another key feature is the recorder. You can record a tune and play it back anytime.
To record, simply select the pink “Start Recording” button on the top right side of the screen.
Then play your tune. The button turns green with a “Stop Recording” text while you are recording.
Get creative. Record a song you learned or even an original tune you composed.
To stop recording, simply select the “Stop Recording” button.
The song will appear as “Record [number]” on the song bar at the right side of the screen.
For example, if t’s your first time to record a tune, the song will be saved as “Record 3.”
If it’s your second time to record a tune, it will be saved as “Record 4,” and so on.
Recorded songs are saved on your local web browser.
To play back your recorded song, simply select it in the song bar and press “Play Song.”
You can record an infinite number of tunes when you play this virtual xylophone. Have fun!
