How to Play

As Dorothy Gale, whip up a batch of cookies for various characters in the land of Oz.

Starting the Game
- Select the large blue play button at the center of the welcome screen to begin the game.
- Toggle the game’s audio via the sound button on the upper right corner of the screen.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Left click and drag to prepare the ingredients.
  - The controls of the game are optimized for touchscreen play, but are still easily playable in a desktop with a mouse.
- Touchscreen devices
  - Tap and swipe to mix and bake the cookies.
Game Play
- At the start of the game, a character from the series (Queen Ozma, Tin Man, Lion, and Scarecrow) will appear and ask Dorothy for a type of cookie.
  - The cookies they request will be vague, which gives you plenty of leeway to be creative.
  - The main request often demand a cookie of a specific shape or flavor.
  - On occasion, they may ask for a cookie that doesn’t have a specific ingredient.
- A hand will appear to guide you throughout the cookie making process.
- Make the dough
  - Grab the flour, eggs, butter and sugar from the shelf on the left side of the screen.
  - Click or tap on one ingredient, then drag them into the bowl.
  - Drop the ingredients in by releasing your mouse or fingers.
  - The bowl will soon float up, indicating that it’s time to mix it.
  - Mix by clicking or tapping the pink circle, then dragging around to the other pink circles.
    - When you pass a pink circle, it turns green.
    - You must make all the pink circles that appear green to mix the dough.
  - Once the green check mark appears, you’re ready for the next step.
- Flavor the dough
  - Grab one of several ingredients shown on the shelf.
    - Pick between the following ingredients:
      - Oranges
      - Strawberries
      - Lemons
      - Chocolate
      - White chocolate
    - You can only choose one.
  - Drop it into the dough as you would before.
  - Follow the same mixing procedures, then select the green check mark when it appears.
- Rolling the dough
  - Click or tap and hold to select the rolling pin.
  - While holding, drag the pin back and forth in a horizontal direction to flatten out the dough.
  - When you’re done, click the blue and yellow button on the lower right corner.
- Cookie cutter
  - Select a cookie cutter from the selection presented. You can use one of five different shapes.
    - Square
    - 5-pointed star
    - Heart
    - 6-pointed star
    - Circle
  - Click or tap at the dough to cut out a cookie.
  - Make at least 8 cuts on the dough.
  - Once you’re done, click on the button on the lower right to proceed.
- Baking
  - A pink bar will appear before the cookies in the oven.
  - To place the cookies in, select on the pink circle in the bar, then drag to the other pink circle.
  - Once that’s done, a short animation showing the cookies going in will play, followed by a timer.
  - Once the timer is done, click on the button on the lower right.
- Decorating
  - Choose between five different toppings:
    - Candy hearts
    - Sprinkles
    - Beads
    - Colored chocolate
    - Sugar
  - Select the ingredient in question and drag the cursor across the cookie to place them on the cookie.
- Presentation
  - At the end, the cookies you made will show up on the top of the screen.
  - Dorothy will be presenting the cookies in front of the character.
    - If you did the cookie exactly the way they wanted, the character will have hearts flutter around them.
  - Pick a pose and take a picture!
    - Choose between three animated poses from the bottom center corner.
    - Select the camera button on the lower right to snap a picture.
    - Once you’ve taken the picture, the game gives you three options. They are, from right to left:
      - Download the finished picture to your computer.
      - Return to the previous screen to select a new pose for Dorothy.
      - Conclude the game and return to the welcome page.

  - Most obstructions disappear as Wilhelmina’s magic appears on the screen.
    - You don’t often have a lot of time to move, so act fast.
  - Some paths have one obstructed path. Take the unobstructed one immediately.
  - To cross rivers, wait for a lily pad or log to line up with the Yellow Brick Road.
