How to Play

Run down the mountain to see how far you can make it and how many carrots you can collect.

• Starting the Game
  • Select the play button at the bottom center of the game’s welcome screen.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your furthest journey details, carrots collection & purchased unlocks.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the left or right arrow keys to move down the mountainside at a diagonal moving left or right.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the left or right side of the screen to move.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Across the top
      • Your health & heart containers are shown in the upper left corner.
      • Top center shows how many squares down the mountainside you made it.
      • Your carrot collection is shown in the upper right corner.
    • The bottom left corner has a pause button & the bottom right corner has a shop button.
• Game Play
  • Moving
    • Whenever you move left or right you also jump down one row.
    • Some block types do not allow you to walk on them, while others may harm you & others still allow you to walk on them but then quickly send you onto the next square.
  • Scoring
    • This game has 2 different types of scoring.
    • One is how far down the mountain you make it & the other is how many carrots you collect.
    • Ordinary carrots are worth 1 carrot each & gold carrots are worth 10. Carrots can be used to purchase upgrades or continues.
  • Square types
    • Green grass – ordinary stone you can jump on.
    • Rocks – block your path, forcing you to go the other way..
    • Trees – block your path, forcing you to go the other way.
    • Ice – causes you to immediate slip to the next stone in the same direction.
    • Spikes – has spikes that retract then come back out. If you walk on it while the spikes are out you get hit.
    • Gray – gray stones highlight the paths of ninjas which can run into you. If you and a ninja meet on a stone you take a hit.
    • Electric shock – if you step on these you lose a heart container.
    • Dynamite – these contain a counter on them & then blow up when it reaches zero
    • Empty – some parts of the level have empty squares which are simply missing. If you try to step on an empty square you will fall off and die.
    • Arrows – squares with arrows moving back and forth change your direction on your next step, meaning if you press left on the next square you will actually go right.
    • Lasers – once you get around 250 squares down the mountainside lasers shoot across the screen on some rows.
  • Dying
    • When your health reaches zero you die.
    • If you fall off platform you also die. All squares at the top of the screen eventually fall away, so you need to keep moving down periodically or you will fall off.
    • The next time you play you start at the top of the mountain.
    • You can purchase continues for 30 carrots.
      • The first continue costs 30 carrots then the price goes up with the second continue costing 65 carrots & the third continue costing 105 carrots.
      • Each continue costs 5 more above the amount added to the cost for the prior continue (e.g. +35 instead of +30, +40 instead of +35, etc.)
  • Upgrades
    • You can upgrade your starting lives, start with a shield, continue with a shield, increase effect duration for slowing down competitors, or increase effect duration for carrot magnet.
    • Starting lives cost
      • start with 2 lives = free
      • start with 3 lives = 125
      • start with 4 lives = 175
    • Shield
      • start with a shield = 60
      • the shield has 2 uses = 80
      • the shield has 3 uses = 125
    • Continue
      • continue with a shield = 100
      • continue price discount = 125
      • first continue is free = 200
    • Freezing
      • increase effect duration = 80, 100, then 150
      • when the freeze state is on spikes do not come out of boxes & dynamite squares do not blow up
    • Carrot magnet
      • increase effect duration = 30, 50, then 70
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for people of all ages who like Bugs Bunny or games like Q*Bert.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
