How to Play

Create various replacement bridges to get a dragon safely across ravines.

• Starting the Game
  • Select the play button at the lower right corner of the welcome screen to begin.
  • The game immediately begins with a cut scene explaining the premise of the game.
  • The game is narrated. The Cat in the Hat’s voice over acts as the game’s tutorial.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click and drag to put the bridges in place.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use your fingers like a mouse.
• Game Play
  • Help Cat in the Hat bridge gaps so a Spansylvanian dragon can reach a part in time.
    • While the dragon can fly somewhat, he cannot do so long enough to cross the chasms.
    • Cat will guide you through the process of bridge building.
    • A series of items will be available to you with each level.
    • Once you’re finished, click on test to have the dragon cross the bridge.
      • If the bridge isn’t strong enough, the dragon will briefly fly to prevent falling. Try again.
      • If the bridge holds, the dragon will make it across safely and you clear the level.
  • Spanning the gap
    • Use any of the items provided that fit into the gap. These include the following:
      • Canoes
      • Truffula logs
      • Stick bundles
      • Metal girders
    • The gap itself is divided into units. You can count them yourself or use the measuring snail.
      • Some pieces have parts that can be counted by sight.
      • For others, simply put them in the gap and see how many units are left.
    • If the items don’t fit, combine two or more items whose lengths, when combined, match the length of the gap.
    • Make sure that the bridge is strong enough.
      • Some materials are stronger than others.
        • The thickness of the materials is a good indicator of strength.
        • Materials of equal thickness will be equally strong.
      • Choose strong materials to ensure that the dragon can cross safely.
  • Tools
    • Measure the gap using the measuring snail.
    • To ensure that the bridge is stable, glue the gaps between several pieces together.
