SquArea is a crafty logic game that will test your planning and critical thinking skills. The game is a board with squares. In it are colored blocks and squares with stars. Depending on the difficulty, you may have two or more blocks and stars. The goal is to get each block to reach the star with the same color. Once you do, you clear the level.

The challenging part about this game is the direction. You can also push another block in front of you. Each block can only move one direction unless it reaches a special square. That square can change the block’s direction, or warp it into another square to reach the star. If you make a wrong move, it’s game over. But you can always reset to play it again.

With trial and error, you can surely solve each stage. Expect the game to get harder as you clear each level. It’s fun obsessing over how to solve each stage.

Like most logic games, Squarea gets much of its difficulty when its simple rules finally come to play. You start off with levels that seem a bit too easy. These serve to help you familiarize with the rules of the game. The real challenge comes in when you progress past these tutorial levels.

Pushing the blocks into their designated positions can be challenging. You must take the time to consider each move. Ask yourself if there’s a way to position your blocks exactly where you need them to go. Patience will be your biggest ally in overcoming the tougher later levels. And if you make a misstep, you can always undo or start over.

This game is a good choice if you want a mental challenge to keep your mind active. Whet your critical thinking skills with each new puzzle. Do remember the virtue of patience; you’ll be doing a lot of trial and error in the later levels.
