This is a simple pattern generator inspired by the PBS series Splash and Bubble. Dunk the pufferfish is an excellent artist and creates amazing patterns in the sand. With the following tools in your arsenal, you can create all sorts of funky patterns as well.
The game’s mechanics draw inspiration from various pattern generating art tools, including spirographs. Its core concept resembles the real-world behavior of Dunk’s species, white-spotted pufferfish (Torquigener albomaculosus), which create elaborate circular sand patterns in the sea floor.

How to Play
Create various circular patterns using the tools provided.
Starting the Game
Select the play button on the lower right corner of the screen to begin.
The game will begin with a cutscene explaining the game’s premise.
Select the skip button on the lower right corner to move past the cutscene.
The voiceover narration will act as the game’s tutorial. It will also share various facts about the ocean.
Using your mouse, left click to draw and generate patterns.
Tap the screen with your fingers to draw and create patterns.
Most of your art tools are located on the left side.
The utility buttons are located on the right side.
Undo button: removes your last action
Wave button: clears your canvas and lets you start over from the beginning.
A help button on the upper left corner plays tutorial narration.
This tool creates various radial patterns that work outward from the center.
Changing the direction of your mouse or fingers alters the direction the pattern forms.
Watch the patterns appear by moving your mouse or fingers slowly.
The size of the pattern you create depends on how close your fingers are to the center. Move your mouse or fingers away from the center to create bigger patterns.
There are 4 different pattern presets for this tool, which vary in thickness.
The resulting patterns you create resemble a mandala, an intricate geometric pattern based around a circle.
Sand dollars act like spirographs and create intricate colored circle patterns.
You can choose between 3 sand dollar sizes to choose from.
Choosing this tool lets you scatter random decorative marine items.
Each item differ in size and color. These are chosen by the game at random.
Pick between the following decorative items:
Pearls and pebbles
Coral fragments and seaweed
Colored sand picker
This lets you choose what color your pattern comes in.
You can choose between 11 solid colors and a rainbow pattern.
We highly recommend using the rainbow one.
The game is suited for people who like art and/or the ocean.

The Artists of the Sea
The male white-spotted pufferfish off the coast of the Ryukyu Islands in Japan create these artistic circles on the ocean floor to attract mates. After the female lays her eggs inside the circle, she will leave them for the male to guard. The father pufferfish will take care of the eggs until they hatch.
