The game lets you play against up to four human or computer opponents. Roll a die to move forward. If you reach a ladder, you ascend a few spaces more. If you hit a snake, you go down. Occupy the space of an opponent, and they go back to the starting position.

These rules make it anyone’s game. The die may not always be in your favor when you roll, no matter how far you go. An unfortunate set of rolls can set you back to the beginning even when victory was within grasp. Being further along from your competitors is no guarantee that you would win. This guarantees that your games will be long and exciting.
