Starting the Game
- Select the green and white button in the lower left corner of the game’s welcome screen.
  - This will play a cutscene explaining the thesis of the game.
  - You can keep clicking NEXT in the lower right corner to play through the whole cutscene, or click on SKIP in the lower left corner to skip it & immediately start playing the game.
  - Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
- The lower right corner of the welcome screen has an orange book which shows your game progress.
- The upper right corner of the welcome screen contains a blue settings button which can be used to reset game progress or turn game sound & game music on or off.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select correct answers twice.
- Touchscreen devices
  - Tap the screen with your finger to use it like a mouse.
Game Play
- Meters
  - 4 meters on the left of the screen track your confidence, students, teachers, and money.
  - If any of the left meters completely empties you lose.
  - The game offers one free continue, but then if another meter empties it is game over.
- Time
  - The right side of the screen shows how long you have lasted.
  - Run the school for as long as you can to unlock new stories and events.
- Stories
  - The game has a variety of stories in it.
  - Some stories have a singular arch while others have multiple potential outcomes.
  - Stories include: Anais Lawsuits, Zoom, Beauty Contest, Into the Void, Judgement, Credit Card, Mystery Lice, Rage, Pray, RPG Fight, Run Away, Let’s Jump & Throw Out.
    - The last 3 stories are minigames.
- Minigames
  - There are a number of minigames embedded inside the game.
  - You can win power ups using either the roulette wheel or minigames.
  - Game descriptions
    - Throw Out: With the bat minigame you click on either the left or right side of the screen & hold it to swing as Gumball or Darwin when an object of their color flies into the screen.
    - Run Away: With the vertical running game you click on either the left or right side of the screen each time you want Gumball or Darwin to change lanes to avoid dangers. It is best to default both characters to the middle lane so you can switch only as needed.
    - Let’s Jump: Help both Gumball & Darwin climb the screen up platforms which are moving side to side. Each has to remain on their side of the screen and keep moving vertically with the scren.
- Power Ups
  - The game has 5 different power ups.
    - You can only have one power up at a time.
    - If you already have a power up and win another then the newly won power up replaces the old one.
  - Three power ups you can activate when you want to & 2 power ups are immediately auto-activated.
  - When you see Larry in the upper left corner of the game you can click on him to spin the roulette wheel.
  - Some power ups include:
    - skip situation – exit a story you do not like
    - balance – rebalances all your stats at 80% full
    - spin again – spin the roulette wheel again
    - +2 – adds 2 days to your days in power count
    - freeze – randomly freeze two of your meters for 3 turns
- Strategy
  - Watch the performance of all meters. Some answers will require a trade off to fill in a low meter while depleting some credits out of a high meter.
  - Team members
    - Depending how you answer questions you can get others to join your team for a few turns.
    - Anais will show you the prospective outcomes of answer selections before you answer.
    - Carrie keeps one of your meters frozen for 5 turns.
    - Molly Collins is at the top of the jump minigame & when rescued will join your team for 5 turns. If you lose on any of those 5 turns Molly jumps in and saves the day to keep the game going.
- Yearbook
  - The yearbook tracks your longest time in charge, along with how many of the 61 parts of the game you completed.
    - If you want to unlock all parts of the yearbook to 100% complete sometimes you will need to answer various question sets differently to achieve different outcomes.
  - You can click on the Students, Teachers, Non Members & Stories sections of the yearbook to see how much you completed of each section.

Game Play
- Getting started
  - Choose a character avatar to play as. You can pick between a male or female character.
  - Once you’ve chosen a character, you can begin playing. The game begins with a walkthrough tutorial describing everything you need to do.
- Exploring
  - Left click or tap anywhere on the field to move.
  - Select the monsters you want to attack.
  - Unlike most other RPG monster battle games (including Magikmon), you are not forced to fight the monsters in every encounter.
    - The game gives you the option to attack monsters as you see fit.
    - If you don’t think you’re ready, you can walk away.
    - To attack the monster, you must select the attack monster button on the bottom row.
    - If you are in the middle of a battle you can’t win, select the pause button on the top left corner to flee.
  - When you do choose to battle, you switch to the battle screen.
  - Select the portals to move from one level to the next.
    - The portal to the next level only activates after you’ve already defeated the current level’s boss.
- Battle basics
  - Basic rules
    - Match 3 or more identical tiles at the bottom of the screen to either attack or heal.
      - Each type of tile has a different effect when cleared.
        
        Clear elemental tiles to attack. The monster of the same color as the tiles will attack.
        
        Clear heart tiles to replenish your hit points.
        
        Clear orange energy tiles to charge your special attacks.
      - Unlike most match three-type games, the attack mode game lets you drag and move tiles by several spaces.
        
        You have a limited amount of time to make your moves. Your hit point meter is used as a timer when you set the first tile in motion.
        
        Early in the game you can win by making a single match or two repeatedly, but as you advance through the game you have to be able to move the tiles strategically to create many sets of matches at once, or set off a chain reaction.
      - The strength of your attacks per turn depend on the length of each row you make.
        
        The longer the row, the stronger your attack.
        
        The playing grid is 5 cells tall by 6 cells wide, meaning you can have a maximum match length of 6.
    - You can also gain a combo bonus when you clear several rows in a single move.
    - The effectiveness of your attacks vary with your monster’s level and their typing, much like in Pokémon.
  - Special attacks
    - You gain a special attack after clearing enough orange tiles.
    - The special attacks are ready when your monster icons have a glowing white border on them.
    - Once the combo is charged, select any of the icons of your monsters to have them do a special attack without using up a turn.
  - Enemy attacks
    - Enemy monsters attack in the number of turns indicated above them. You have a brief window to attack them before they attack you back.
    - Their attacks will reduce your hit points.
    - If you lose all your hit points before you defeat them, you lose the battle.
  - Battle resources:
    - Battles cost one energy unit.
      - You gain it back after winning.
      - If you lose the level you will not get the energy back.
    - You win the following items when battling:
      - Experience points: Use these to level up your monsters
      - Gems: This is the in-game currency used to buy new items.
      - Monsters: you can swap out the active monsters in your battle team.
- Leveling up
  - Select the monster selection button to open your team management screen.
  - The active monsters are shown on the top row, while the bottom row shows all the monsters you have.
    - The monster whose icon has a purple star is the active monster you walk with when traveling in the overworld.
  - Do the following to level up a monster:
    - Select the monster’s icon (from the bottom portion of the screen).
    - While on the bottom row, select the monster’s icon to open its stats.
    - On the monster’s stats window, select the level up button as many times as you can afford.
  - You will need to level up your monsters as you go along both to defeat the level boss and to challenge the monsters on newer levels.
    - Monsters can be leveled up a limited number of times each.
      - Weak monsters can reach level 35.
      - Medium monsters can reach level 50.
      - Strong monsters can reach level 60.
- Swapping out monsters
  - You have a limited number of slots for monsters.
  - Monsters already on your roster appear as grayed out slots in the screen.
  - Swap the monsters as you see fit.
  - If you have duplicate of a monster type or have a weak monster you no longer want on your team you can delete it.
- Bosses
  - To enter a new level, you must first defeat the level boss.
    - The level boss is located somewhere in the level, usually at the right edge or in the lower corners.
    - You can tell the boss apart by their sheer size compared with other enemies.
  - Boss monsters are fought the same way as regular monsters.
    - You can, in fact, fight them repeatedly if you so choose.
  - Once the level boss is defeated, you can enter the portal to the next level.
- Store
  - Use the gems you collected to buy new monsters and other supplies.
    - There are 10 pets for sale.
    - Pets cost between 200 to 600 gems each.
    - You can carry dozens of pets, far more pets than are active on your fighting team.
  - To buy new items, do the following:
    - Select the store button to open the store screen.
    - Select on an item you want to buy.
    - You must have enough gems to buy the item.
- Evostones
  - Evostones can be purchased at the store for 350 gems.
  - Use these to evolve your monsters to more powerful forms.
- Strategy
  - Add monsters to your fighting team as soon as you can to have 5 members fighting.
  - After each fight use your upgrade points to upgrade your monsters.
  - If you find yourself routinely losing try to go after earlier & easier monsters until you level up, then proceed further into the game.
  - Routinely look at your monster collection periodically so you can see if you obtain stronger monsters on your team which you should add to your fighting group.
  - When you get further into the game it can be ideal to have 2 high-powered healers on your team so you can alternate using them periodically between turns to maintain your health.
  - It is best to use healing whenever your health bar is low enough that it is conceivable the opposing monster can do enough damage to defeat you. With other in battle special move power ups you generally want to use them as soon as they are available to use.

Game Play
- Basic rules
  - Setting up
    - Choose the grid size before starting the game. There are 2 to choose from:
      - 3 x 3
      - 4 x 4
  - Moving and attacking
    - Select any card that’s horizontally or vertically adjacent to your hero card.
    - In most cases, your hero will move to the new space without a hitch.
    - Sometimes, the hero will need to move to the same space at least twice.
      - In the case of castles and barrels, the hero will first destroy it to reveal its contents. You can pick up the contents in the second move.
      - For enemies, you must be capable of defeating them before you can take their slot.
      - If you fail to defeat them on the first move, we don’t recommend trying again unless no other option exists.
    - Cards spawn in the direction opposite to where you move. If you move to a card to the right, the card that replaces it will appear on the left most side of the screen.
  - Collecting and equipping items
    - Items are generated each time you move from one card to the next.
    - You can pick up items cards that are adjacent to your hero.
    - To collect items in castles, chests, and barrels, you must first break those open.
  - Coins
    - Coins serve as part of your score. Collect as many of them as you can.
    - These appear from castles, barrels, and chests you open.
    - They can also appear as loot dropped by enemies.
  - Spawn rates
    - Early game
      - You can pick up more weapons and shields.
      - You also deal with weaker enemies.
    - Later game
      - The weapons and shields are more powerful, but they become rare.
      - Your enemies become stronger.
      - It becomes easier to get cornered. If you are cornered and don’t have enough hit points to take on an enemy, the game is over on your next move.
  - Combat
    - Hit points.
      - Your character begins with 10 hit points, which can be found on the top center of the card.
        
        Hazard and enemy cards have a number above them indicating how much of your health they will take out when you move the card there.
        
        If your health is more than the attack strength of the enemy card, you will survive.
        
        Lose all your health and the game ends.
      - To replenish your health, collect potion cards.
        
        Potion cards restore your hit points based on the number shown above them.
        
        You can only use potion restores until you fill up your health bar. Any more than that and you’ll just be wasting it.
    - Weapons and shields
      - Weapons and shields provide you with a means of attacking enemies without losing your hit points.
        
        Defense strength protects you from enemy attacks.
        
        Attack strength reduces your enemy’s hit points.
      - The defensive or offensive value of a shield or weapon is shown on the bottom left corner of the card.
        
        Each time you use a weapon or shield on an enemy, its value is reduced.
        
        If the enemy or hazard exceeds the value of your attack or defense, you lose the shield or weapon.
        
        You can either attack them directly with your hits points or wait until you acquire another weapon.
      - You have a strength limit of 3 for both attack and defense.
        
        Thus, you can only equip 2 weapons or 2 shields at a time.
        
        Like with potions, acquiring more than your limit effectively wastes the weapons or shields.
- Cards
  - Terrain cards
    - Grass
      - This is your standard terrain tile.
      - Standing on grass confers no advantages or disadvantages. Step on it when you need to.
    - Castle
      - Step on a castle to break it down. Afterward, you will return to your position.
      - The contents of a castle once broken can be either a reward or a knight.
      - You can pick up the reward or fight the knight on your next turn.
    - Barrels
      - Barrels contain items of interest. Break them down as often as you encounter them.
      - Each time you break a barrel, you return to your original position. You can pick up the contents on your next turn.
      - The contents of the barrel could be (and are usually) beneficial, like coins, weapons, or potions.
      - Sometimes, barrels can contain traps.
    - Chests and keys
      - You cannot move to the space occupied by a chest unless you have picked up a key.
      - Once you do pick up a key, move to the chest to collect what’s inside. As with the barrel, opening the chest returns you to your original space.
  - Power up cards
    - Cannons
      - When you move to the position of a cannon card, you fire cannon balls at enemies in the same row and column as the cannon.
      - The cannon will only attack horizontally in the direction it faces.
      - Cannons will attack any enemy above and below it as long as they’re in the same column.
    - Potions
      - Potions will restore a portion of your hit points.
    - Swords and Spears
      - Swords and spears give you a means of attacking your foes.
    - Shields
      - Shields protect you from enemy attacks and hazards.
  - Hazard cards
    - Floor spikes
      - Floor spikes retract and come up with every turn.
      - If you move onto floor spikes while they are retracted, you gain no damage.
      - Walking onto them will cause you to get damaged.
      - Ideally, you should move onto a floor spike
    - Traps
      - Traps sometimes appear when you open a barrel. They also sometimes spawn on their own.
      - They will take a chunk of your hit points if you move to them without a shield.
  - Enemy cards
    - Animals (wolves and boars)
      - Animals are the first enemies you encounter.
      - They have low hit points and are easy to defeat with your starting weapons.
    - Knights
      - Knights start off weak. Their levels indicate how much of a threat they are to you.
      - As the game progresses, the knights become bigger threats and take longer to defeat.
- Scoring
  - You have 2 scores in this game:
    - Your kill count, or how many enemies you’ve slain.
    - The coins you collected.
  - Use the social media buttons on the bottom row of the win screen to share your score with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, or Whatsapp.

How to Play

Starting the Game
- The game begins with a long cut animated cut scene establishing the premise of the game.

  - For this being a turn-based RPG it is almost a mini-RPG. Battles are easy once you get the logic down as all enemies die on a single hit. It is a quite fun game, though something you could beat in an hour.

  - Tap and swipe to move in any direction.
Game Play
- Level selection
  - The level selection screen takes on the appearance of a clipboard.
    - The levels represent pieces of a map.
    - At first, only one part of the map is visible. Unlock the next level by retrieving the map.
    - Click on each map piece to play the level.
    - The first level begins with two signs describing the controls of the game.
    - You can go back and replay previously beat levels.
- Basics
  - Travel down the park and collect the map pieces to move to the next level.
  - You can only walk 1 square at a time.
  - To attack enemies or obstructions, simply walk in that direction. Jeff will attack automatically. Attacking counts as a turn-based move.
  - Smashing obstructions can reveal floor squares that act as switches.
    - To activate the switch, step on it.
  - You win the level by collecting the next fragment of the map.
- Defeating enemies
  - Jeff is a cowardly child. Contact with any scary object will have you start the level all over again.
  - Scary things come in two flavors, stationary and mobile.
  - Mobile enemies move one tile at a time.
    - If you’re one square away from them and they move you get caught and start the level over again.
    - You can attack them once they’re 1 square away from you. If the square you are turning on turns to a red X you can attack on your next turn, but if you step onto a red X it will be game over.
    - Time your movements with care.
      - Make sure you move in a way that allows you to attack them before they attack you.
      - Sometimes, the key is to attack one in place, then let the others come within striking distance.
      - Another valuable strategy is to leave things to hit like gravestones, so that you can spend a turn not moving while the enemy approaches closer to you & then you can hit them.
      - Some enemies move every turn while other enemies allow you to move quickly twice in a turn. Balloons only move while inflated.
      - Some enemies can move in any direction while other enemies like pumpkins can only move the direction they are facing and have to burn a turn to change directions.
      - Sometimes you can have the enemies hit themselves by running over zombie hands.
      - Further into the game enemies may attack from multiple directions at the same time. Deciding which enemy to attack first can be crucial.
  - Stationary enemies do not move, but they follow similar triggers.
    - They take the form of tile that puts out a zombie hand in a three-step cycle.
    - They follow a cycle, triggered by your movement.
      - A blank tile is safe to step on.
        The moment you step on a previously brown tile, it glows green.
        If a tile previously had a paper hand in it, it becomes safe to step on in your next turn as the hand retracts.
      - A tile with a green glow is a warning.
        If the tile goes green when you’re already on it, you’re safe.
        If a tile is already green, do not step on it.
        Stepping forward will activate the hand. If you touch this, it’s game over.
      - After the paper hand appears, it turns brown when you step on it.
    - Time your movement so you only step on safe tiles during your entire crossing.
- Switches and obstacles
  - Sometimes, your paths are blocked by spikes. To lower them, you must activate tiles disguised as switches
  - Some squares retract spikes, while others summon enemies.
  - If you’ve already retracted all the spikes you need to proceed, ignore any remaining switches.

How to Play

Move your knight card one space at a time. Defeat foes and collect treasure for as long as you can.

Starting the Game
- At the center of the welcome screen are the following options (clockwise from left):
  - Select Hero to open the character selection screen.
  - Select Level to customize the size of the level.
  - Select Play to begin.
  - Select Sounds to turn the game’s sounds on and off.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and high score.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your mouse, left click on a card adjacent to your hero to move there.
- Touchscreen devices
  - Tap on cards adjacent to your hero with your fingers to move.
- Controls and indicators (left to right)
  - Top row
    - Back button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
    - Level size
    - Total coins collected
  - Bottom row
    - Blue potions collected
    - Poisons collected
    - Coins collected for the session
    - Weapon conversion: Turn your weapons into coins
Game Play
- Setting up
  - On the welcome screen, select the level button to open the level customization screen.
  - Choose a grid size.
    - You have a total of two grid options (3 x 3 and 4 x 4).
    - By default, you play a 3 x 3 game.
    - The larger 4 x 4 grid is unlocked when you earn 4,000 coins in a single game.
  - Select OK to return to the welcome screen.
  - Select the play button to start your game.
  - If this is your first time playing, the game will begin with a tutorial outlining the basic rules of the game.
- Basic rules
  - Getting around
    - Move your hero card around by selecting a card immediately above, below, or to the left or right.
      - Some cards will allow your hero to move to their space immediately. These include collectibles (coins, potions, and weapons), traps (spiked floors and spikes), and enemies you can defeat with your existing hit points.
      - Other cards will bring you back to your starting position. These include boxes, enemies you defeat with weapons, and enemies too strong to be destroyed by your weapons.
      - When you move to the same space as a bomb or dynamite stick, you basically trade place with them.
    - In most cases, your card can move only one space at a time.
      - The only time you can move multiple spaces at once is by using the shuffle card.
    - Each time you replace a card, a new one takes its place on the opposite side of the grid.
  - Defeating foes
    - Combat basics
      - Every weapon has usage points, which are shown on the bottom left corner of the card.
      - Each time you attack an enemy, its hit points are subtracted from your weapon’s usage points.
      - When your weapon runs out of usage points, it disappears.
        
        If you fail to slay your enemy, they will remain alive but with reduced hit points.
        
        After this, your enemy attacks will now be deducted from your own hit points unless you equip yourself with another weapon.
    - Equipping weapons
      - You start the game with a sword you can use 10 times.
      - To equip a weapon, simply move toward that one.
        
        Equipping a new weapon while still wielding another one is usually unwise as your new weapon will replace the old one.
        
        Replace your weapons only if the new one is stronger.
      - You can trade weapons for coins in this game.
        
        In most situations, we recommend not doing this. Use up all your weapon’s usage points before getting a new weapon.
        
        One exception is if your old weapon lacks enough points to deal with an enemy. You can instead collect coins by trading in your previous weapon and replace it with a new one that’s up to the task.
        
        You can also trade your weapon if the adjacent tiles you can move to are all weapons. Trade in a mediocre weapon for one that’s fully charged.
    - Hit points
      - Both you and your enemies have hit points.
      - Hit points are shown at the top center edge of each card.
        
        The hit point number indicates how many hits you or your enemy can take.
        
        You start the game with 10 hit points.
      - Each time you face your enemies head on, you lose hit points.
      - You also lose hit points when facing spikes or being within a tile of an explosive (dynamite, bombs).
- Scoring
  - Your score is based on the number of coins you’ve collected in a single session.
    - Coins are left behind each time you defeat an enemy with a weapon.
    - Pick up the coins to occupy the space held by the enemy you defeated.
  - You can see your high score in one of two places:
    - The level customization screen
    - The game over screen
- Level features
  - Good chest
    - Good chests only contain beneficial items.
    - Move to their space to open them, then move on that same space to collect the item.
    - These items can be either a weapon, a potion, or coins
  - Bats
    - Bats are a wild card in this game.
    - Technically, they are opponents and must be slain.
    - Once attacked, they may drop a beneficial or harmful item.
  - Shuffles
    - Shuffles change your position on the grid.
    - A shuffle is especially helpful when you’re moving away from bombs and dynamite sticks.
  - Explosives
    - Explosives include dynamite sticks and bombs.
      - These have a counter in the top left corner of the card.
      - Each time you make a move, the counter goes down by one bullet.
      - When the counter expires, it explodes.
    - The explosives will kill all the monsters nearby and cause you harm if you are one tile away from it.
- Hazards
  - Enemies
    - Your enemies comprise a motley collection of evil beings from stereotypical high fantasy.
    - To defeat your enemies, you must have enough usage points on your weapon or hold them
  - Bad chests
    - Bad chests contain a surprise enemy inside them.
    - Move to their space to open them. If you can attack the enemy without dying, you can choose to do so.
  - Purple potions
    - Purple potions are toxic. Consume them and you risk losing much of your health points.
  - Spikes
    - There are two types of spikes: spinning and retracting ones.
      - Both disappear when you step on them.
      - You must move into the spikes with care if you want to avoid losing hit points.
    - Spinning spikes
      - Spinning spikes will hurt you if you approach from the direction the spikes are pointing at.
      - If you approach from a direction the spikes aren’t pointing, you will be unharmed.
    - Retracting spikes
      - This card switches between having the spikes up and having them down.
      - You cannot cross them when the spikes are up without losing hit points.
      - When the spikes are down, however, they are safe to cross.
- Unlockable characters
  - You can unlock new knights by using the coins you’ve collected.
  - Unlock and pick out the knight you want to play as on the character selection screen.
  - There are 3 characters to unlock.

This is a turn-based, rock-paper-scissors style brawler based on the TV movie (and later series) from Cartoon Network. You fight as Hiro Karuta, an exchange student from a fantasy shōnen animé stuck in modern suburban Australia/America (it’s more vague in the actual show). Join him and his magical kitty confidante Amonsun as they stop rampaging villains from destroying South Port High. The game and its design are largely based on the movie, with elements of the series mixed in.

Use the turn-based battle system to charge attacks, fight, and counter.
Beat Hiro’s rogues gallery of animé-style villains before they beat you.
Draw cards to improve your stats in the following round.

How to Play

As the shōnen protagonist Hiro Karuta, defeat a cavalcade of opponents terrorizing your high school.

Starting the Game
- Left click or tap on the play button on the bottom center corner of the welcome screen to begin the game.
- Left click or tap at the How to Play button to open the tutorial screen.
  - This plays a tutorial slideshow that analyzes the basic controls and strategies of the game.
  - At the end of the tutorial slideshow, you can left click or tap on the play button at the lower right corner of the screen to start the game.
- There is no way to pause the game.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Left click on any of the options to activate them before the time runs out.
- Mobile
  - Use your fingers like a mouse.
Game Play
- Premise
  - Principal Rogerson will appear, demanding that you clear off the villains appearing in the school on the threat of expulsion.
    - The game is a mix of the movie and the series; Some characters speak in an American accent while others, like the Principal, speak in an Australian one.
  - You must fight off the villains one-by-one, in no particular order.
- Basic Controls
  - At the start, you have four options: attack, counterattack, charge attack, or charge counterattack.
    - You have 3 seconds to pick between either of the four actions.
      - You can change your mind and switch if the timer hasn’t reached 0.
      - If you didn’t pick anything at all, you will do a random action.
  - You must charge either your attack or counterattack before you can use them.
    - You can only use either option when they’ve been charged to at least one level.
    - Charging them up to the third level will deal the most amount of damage.
    - You are vulnerable to attacks while charging.
  - Keep attacking, charging, and countering until you or your enemy runs out of hit points.
    - If you end in a draw, the game restores some of your hit points and you start over.
  - The game over screen shows how many villains you fought and how points you’ve earned in the process.
- Attacks vs. Counterattacks
  - Attacks interrupt charges and weaken an enemy. They’re you’re main offensive action.
    - Attacks are ideal if your enemy has not charged their defensive actions.
  - Counterattacks can be very useful if an enemy prefers to strike when their attacks are not fully charged.
    - If your counterattack equals or surpasses that of your enemy’s attack, you will not get harmed.
      - The damage you inflict on your opponent will be double
      - If it is less than that of your opponent, you will only minimize the harm done to you.
    - They can tip the odds to your favor if you use them at the right time.
    - They are very hard to use, however, as you can only see them work when the enemy attacks.
- Hit points
  - You start off with 75 hit points.
  - Your enemies start off with lower hit points than you, but will increase in strength over time.
  - If you win a round, 35 of your hit points are restored for the next battle.
- Cards
  - Each time you win, you can pick between one of three cards.
    - Charity Stitt: Normally she’s a cruel obnoxious bully. In this game, she lives up to her name and restores your hit points.
    - Max Cameron: A true best bud charges up both your attack and counterattack levels in the next round.
    - Zabooninin the Enlightened: This Australian-accented horse wizard gets you nothing.
- Strategy
  - Predicting your enemy’s next move is a key aspect of this game.
    - The game works on a variation of rock paper scissors.
      - An attack interrupts charging.
      - Attacks will not stop another attack. When this happens, both parties will be damaged.
      - A counterattack interrupts and redirects an attack.
        If the counter is at the same or higher level than the attack then it does double the damage of the opponent’s attack power.
        If the counter is of lower power than the attack then the damage done is the difference between the attack strength and Hiro’s counter.
      - A counterattack vs. a charge does not cause damage. Instead, it charges up the target’s attack or counterattack, depending on what they chose.
        Prepare for an attack if you miss a counterattack.
        If your enemy misses a counterattack, you gain a critical bonus.
        If it charged your attack, attack on the next turn for massive damage.
      - Charges do nothing to one another, but are vital for bolstering and enabling attacks and counters.
        In most cases, you and your opponent will always start the game by charging.
    - Take advantage of your previous level’s bonuses to gain an opening advantage.
      - Getting the Max card allows you to attack immediately rather than charging.
      - Getting the Charity card bolsters your hit points to the fullest regardless of how bad your previous battle was.
    - Watch out for your enemy’s attack and counterattack levels.
      - Some enemies will not wait until they’re fully charged. They will attack even at level 1.
        They will likely do so if you do not have a counterattack ready.
        They will definitely do so if you miss a counterattack. Best hope you have an attack charged up to return the favor.
      - If you counterattack at the wrong time, you enemy will surely try to attack you on their next turn.
        This goes double if you do not have any charged attack in reserve.
        Before counterattacking, have your attack charged to at least level 1. This way, if they attack you, you can at least retaliate.
      - It’s as tactically inopportune not to have a counter as it leaves you vulnerable to aggressive opponents.
Target Audience
- This is a game suited for older children to adults and fans of the Cartoon Network series.
- There is no adult content in this game.

- Interface

    - Objectives button: Shows your current objectives
  - The interaction button is shown at the bottom right corner.
    - Select it whenever it appears to interact with the characters and get clues.
    - There are 2 types of interaction buttons:
      - Text balloons allow you to talk to characters.
      - Magnifying glasses lets you touch and move objects.
- Basic rules
  - Walk around and interact with people.
  - To move the plot forward, talk to the characters with a red exclamation point hovering above them.
  - Visit the characters as indicated by the game’s goals.
    - Leave each building by walking out the door.
    - Find out where you should go next by looking at the map.
    - Once you enter a building with a task, you can’t leave until you finish.
  - Interacting with some pedestrians and looking at the icons on the street can help you find places faster.
  - Each time you fulfill a teammate quest, the teammate disappears. They reappear in the arcade.
- Game plot (Spoiler alert)
  - Your character is a video game let’s player who interacts with Conor and his crew. After you ask if you could ever join their team, Conor’s teammates end up in a fight and leave before the tournament begins. You volunteer to help Conor convince them to go back.
  - Choose which character to search for:
    - Ashley: Billy the Squid’s
    - Wendell: The Old Factory
    - Franklin: The School
- Adventure quests
  - Note: Our guide presumes the following cardinal directions:
    - Top is north
    - Bottom is south
    - Left is west
    - Right is east
  - The arcade
    - The arcade is located on the southwest corner of the map.
    - This is your starting point. Meet up with Conor and Chad.
    - Each time you finish the other events, move back to the arcade to talk to Conor.
    - You can also play various minigames here. Play all the minigames to win Chad’s challenge.
  - Billy the Squid’s
    - Getting there
      - Billy the Squid’s (a terrible restaurant) is in the northwest part of the map directly north of .
      - To get there, follow the trail of vomit littering the city’s streets.
    - Help Billy cook
      - Ashley can’t come until Billy finishes his chum. Talk to Billy to get started.
        Billy can be found on the northeast part of the building near the counter.
      - Follow Billy’s instructions to cook the chum.
        To succeed, you must put in the ingredients in the precise order Billy mentions.
        Memorize the order of the ingredients.
        Move to the cooking pot and interact with it.
        Answer each of the questions that appear onscreen to place in the ingredients.
      - Once you’ve succeeded, bring Billy’s chum to Ashley to finish the quest.
    - Retrieve Conor’s Lucky Joystick
      - A definitely not suspicious stranger hangs out at the northeast corner of the store.
      - She will give you Conor’s lucky joystick if you answer her trivia questions.
      - The trivia questions and their answers are as follows.
        What is the color of the wizard’s hat in the Wizard minigame? (Red)
        How many flower pots are there in Billy’s? (6)
        How many icons are there on the street? (14)
        How many cars are parked on the abandoned factory? (7)
        What color are the wings of Mondale High mascot? (Red)
      - Most of these questions can be found by exploring the game world.
  - Old Factory
    - Getting there
      - The old factory is at the north center of the map, east of Billy the Squid’s and directly north of the school
      - This place is swarming with jocks, who will act as obstacles throughout the game.
      - The old factory only has one quest.
    - Blow up the factory
      - Once you get there, you can interact with Dwayne, Wendell’s brother. He and Wendell plan to detonate stink bombs in the factor.
        You have 30 seconds to flip all the switches in the factory floor.
        Flip all 4 switches to activate the bombs.
        Avoid the jocks.
      - When you’re finished, you, Wendell, and Dwayne will be outside the building. Interact with them to finish this part of the game.
  - School
    - Getting there
      - The school is located to the east of the arcade. It is at the very center of the map.
      - The school has the most number of side quests and is also the largest building you can explore.
    - Retrieve the test
      - Upon arrival, you must talk to Franklin. Franklin will saddle you with the task of retrieving his test paper from his rather angry teacher Mr. Spanks.
        The test is located in a classroom to the northwest of the main hall.
        You must sneak past the hall monitors to get to the classroom.
        To avoid the hall monitors and the teacher, avoid their line of sight. This is represented by a line in front of them.
        Wait for the hall monitors and Mr. Spanks to move away before moving to avoid getting caught.
      - Once you reach the classroom, retrieve the test from the top of the desk.
    - Retrieve the treasure
      - Talk to a student on the southwest part of the main hall to get this side quest.
      - The treasure is also located in one of the desks in the south part of the classroom.
      - It’s a wad of gum. Talking to the student that gave you the quest will reveal that they’ve been trolling you.
    - Escape detention
      - After reuniting Conor’s e-sports team, you bring them back to the school to access the sewer tunnels in the school’s basement.
      - Not long after, you get caught by Mr. Spanks, who sends you to detention in the classroom.
      - Use Conor’s drone to activate the fire alarm.
        You switch over to Conor’s drone.
        Fly the drone as you would navigate with your player character.
        Fly toward the fire alarm near the hall at the southeast corner of the game.
    - Get to the sewer tunnels.
      - Look for a way to the sewers from the basement.
        The best way to get there is a vent to the north.
        You must collect several items to open the vent.
      - Look around the basement for items you’ll need to reach the vent.
        Clear obstacles using the terminals across the room
        Franklin found a drum to the southeast.
        Ashley found a cube of polystyrene (“Styrofoam”) to the northeast.
        There is a handle at the south of the basement behind a large pipe.
      - Bring the 3 objects to Conor and Wendell at the vent.
    - Traverse the sewers
      - Navigate through the sewer tunnels.
      - Avoid making contact with the pigs.
      - You have 3 tries and 5 minutes to navigate through the sewers.
- Arcade minigame challenge
  - General rules
    - Help the hero survive the horde to win.
      - Left click or tap on the approaching bad guys to defeat them.
      - Don’t let any of the bad guys reach the hero
    - Each new wave of enemies move faster than the others.
  - There are 3 minigames in Chad’s challenge:
    - A wizard game. Defeat the goblin army.
    - A ninja game. Defeat the enemy samurai.
    - A space flight game. Defeat the enemy ships.
  - Once you’ve played and won all 3 games, talk to Chad.
  - Winning all the games grants you the pants of victory.

Game Play
- Basic combat
  - Left click or tap on the monsters to attack them.
    - You can attack them wherever they may appear.
    - They cannot attack you until they are right next to you, so use that to your advantage.
    - The monster’s health bar lets you know how well your attacks are performing.
  - Sometimes, monsters will drop unexpectedly.
    - Use a shield to keep them from depleting your hit points.
    - You can also use a one-time mega slash to remove crowds of monsters all at once.
  - Attack boss monsters before they attack you.
    - Boss monsters don’t attack right away. They slumber before they attack you.
    - Boss attacks are a one-hit KO attack. You cannot survive it.
    - To defeat the bosses, whittle away at them by attacking them before they wake up.
    - They have 2 bars for health and slumber. Finish off their health before their slumber bar goes empty.
- Health
  - Each time a monster attacks you, you lose health.
  - Lose all your health and it’s game over.
  - Use the health potion to replenish your health.
- Coins
  - Pick up the coins the monsters leave behind.
    - All monsters leave a coin with a value of 10.
    - Pick it up by clicking or tapping on it.
  - Use these to buy upgrades and potions to help you through the game.
- Potions
  - Each potion and power up provides a different benefit.
    - Health potions replenish your hit points. They are the only way for you to restore your health.
    - Energy potions replenish your energy. Like health potions, they are the only way you can do this.
    - Power potions give you a temporary boost in attack power.
    - Mega slashes let you take out all the monsters currently in view.
    - Shields up protects you from monster attacks temporarily.
  - Power ups are useful when you are overwhelmed by enemies or are facing a boss.
  - You can only the same potion or power up one at a time.
    - Power ups and potions have a cool down period of a few seconds before you can use them again.
    - You can, in the meantime, use a different potion or power up.
  - Normally, you buy potions and powerups from either the shop or the bottom row.
  - On occasion, you can pick them up at random as monster drops.
- Upgrades
  - Upgrades add a permanent increase to your attack power and defenses.
  - You can buy them from the store.

This game consists of an overworld map stitching together almost 2 dozen different minigames. Each game has its own style & goal from a casual clicker to games requiring a high level of precision and a game which tests your memory skills.

Starting the Game
- Click on the blue and yellow button on the game loading screen & then click the same button again at the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
- Your web browser automatically saves your quest progress including items found, stories complete, and level ratings.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to click on the screen to walk around. The left click function is also used to move around the map, collect items from each map location, and perform actions inside the minigames.
- Mobile
  - Use your finger to tap the screen like a mouse.
Game Play
- Click on items to collect them.
  - There are 29 items you must collect throughout the game.
  - Click on the grab bag in the upper left corner to see all the items you have collected.
- Compass
  - The compass in the upper left corner of the game shows the map of your quest progress.
- Quest log
  - Your quest has many goals inside it. The list of them is shown left of your grab bag & they include:
    - Complete tutorial level
    - Unlock the map
    - Picked up 1 item
    - Picked up 5 items
    - Picked up all items
    - Completed 1 game
    - Completed 5 games
    - Completed all games
    - Watched 1 adventure
    - Watched 5 adventures

  - Map Locations
    - Each map location has a video and 2 minigame levels in it, along with some items you can collect by clicking on them.
      - Some items may be located slightly left of where the screen starts you.
    - Map locations include:
      - The Glade
      - The Sassy Gnomes
      - The Hissy Swan
      - The Prom Date
      - The Pretty Poodle
      - The Talking Tree
      - The Kissy Frog
      - The Raspberry Fairy

    - Left click and drag your mouse to move around the map. Click on a level location to enter it.
    - You can also interact with overview map location worlds by clicking on items to put out fires and interact with others in the map overviews.
  - Levels
    - Each level has its own goal. Example goals include:
      - Memorizing a pattern of items on signs and then clicking in the same order.
      - Swatting flies and collecting clocks to extend your play time.
      - Bellowing loudly, timing the inhale and exhale.
      - Balancing on a mechanical horse (like a mechanical bull).
      - Fly far in a Flappy Bird styled flying game.
      - Fight a bear
      - Avoid eggs being thrown at you.
      - Turn and cook vegetables on an open fire without letting them burn.
      - Click on signs which spring up out of the ground.
      - Distance kicking toads.
      - Balance on a floating object on the river.
      - Avoid falling and bouncing objects.
      - Jump over obstacles while being chased by a wolf.
      - Throwing a stick playing fetch with a poodle.
      - Slice radish like a typical fruit slicing game. Hit clocks to gain more time, but avoid hitting your bid.
      - Use a mirror to block magic fired from a witch’s wand.
      - Move the bird to prevent Ivandoe from getting hit by acorns squirrels throw at him.
      - Whack-a-mole styled gnome clicker game.
      - Run up the mountainside while avoiding falling boulders.
      - Jump over holes and obstacles while being chased by a slime monster.
    - In some levels you are simply timing tapping anywhere, whereas on other levels your character moves in accordance with where you tap.
    - You are rated from 1 to 3 stars based on how well you complete each level.
      - You can replay each level an unlimited number of times to improve your score.
Target Audience
- This game is a collection of minigames which should be fun to any fan of Ivandoe and fans of cute animated shows.
- There are no adult themes in this game.

This is a twist to the fighting monster genre where you play as Anders, a new student enrolled in Ogdoad’s Magic School. He arrived late in class and had to get to the school via the grounds by the back entrance. Before he can train to be a mage, he must fight against and alongside magical creatures called Magikmon.

The game is a 2D role playing game inspired by mons series like Pokémon and Digimon as well as the Harry Potter series. Its aesthetics, meanwhile, parallel those of the Earthbound games.

How to Play

As Ander, harness the power of Magikmon and impress the faculty and students of a magic school.

Starting the Game
- Start a new game by selecting one of three game slots on the lower part of the screen.
- From there, the game will begin in earnest, starting with a cut scene of your character Ander arriving at the grounds of a magic school he enrolled in.
- Your browser automatically saves your game data in your local browser.
Interface
- On the top right corner are two control buttons:
  - The speaker button toggles the game’s audio.
  - The flag button lets you choose the game’s language. Three are available:
    - English
    - Spanish
    - Catalan
  - On the upper left corner is the credits button. Selecting this button will take you to the credits screen.
  - Once you start the game, clicking on the home button on the upper right corner will open the game’s welcome screen menu.
    - From here, you can load any of your save files or choose an empty slot to start a new save.

    - Spectre Magikmon represent primal fears
      - They originated before language and were a bane to prehistoric people.
      - They still linger today even in the presence of technology.
      - These Magikmon use a purple color scheme and have an eldritch appearance to them.
    - Classic Magikmon represent the divine power of ancient gods.
      - They emerged in the heyday of the first great civilizations.
      - They banished fear, but were supplanted by cult objects from technology.
      - They come in amber hues and have an ancient aesthetic to them.
    - Tech Magikmon represent modern humanity’s dependence on technology.
      - They arose during the technological revolution of the past 200 years.
      - The development and eventual worship of machines caused a decline in the old gods’ power.
      - In general, they have a teal, 21st century technology aesthetic. How do you do, fellow kids?
  - Your journey as a mage in training with Magikmon on tow spans 8 chapters. Each chapter has a boss, usually a member of the school’s faculty.

  - Exploration and dialogue play a key part of the game. Pay close attention; the dialogue, especially those from the wand, reveal a lot about the way the game works.
- Opening
  - As soon as the bus leaves you in front of the school, you arrive at the gates of the academy grounds.
    - This will trigger a battle sequence. Naturally, your first instinct is to run.
    - You will encounter the Magical Wand shortly after.
    - The Magical Wand is a character in their own right and will act as your tutor.
  - Your starting Magikmon as determined by the Magical Wand depends on your answer to one question: which occupation do you prefer.
    - Picking the teacher grants you Cernunnos, a Classic Magikmon.
    - Picking the scientist grants you Selfaholic, a Tech Magikmon.
    - Picking the fireman grants you Trapptor, a Spectre Magikmon.
- Magical Wand
  - The Magical Wand serves as your guide in more ways than one.
  - They serves as a game encyclopedia and a means of storing, healing, and managing your Magikmon
  - Your Wand can hold up to 6 Magikmon at a time, and only 3 can attack at once.
  - The Wand also shares information about the Magikmon you encounter throughout your journey.
- Navigation
  - Walk by clicking or tapping on the area around you.
    - You will move through routable terrain automatically.
    - Look for logs before crossing the river.
    - Read the signs to get an idea of what to look for.
  - Upon defeating the Professor Sapientis at the end of the first level, you receive a map.
    - The map icon will appear at the top center corner of your screen.
- Combat basics
  - The game’s monsters follow the rock, paper, scissors logic. The Magikmon symbol seen in and around the campus represents this.
    - Spectre Magikmon (purple) are strong against Tech Magikmon (teal).
    - Tech Magikmon (teal) are strong against Classic Magikmon (amber).
    - Classic Magikmon (amber) are strong against Spectre Magikmon (purple).
  - The battle system is turn based, and you always go first.
  - You have the option of healing, powering up, or attacking during your turn.
    - You and your opponent can only do one action per turn.
    - This includes healing
  - Select attacks from the bottom right corner of the screen.
    - Some attacks can only be used once 2 or 3 turns, but they’re quite effective.
    - That said, they might still miss.
  - Select actions from the student icon on the bottom left corner of the screen.
    - This will open up the Magic Wand menu.
    - Here, you can do the following actions.
      - Swap out Magikmon
      - Use power up items
      - Run away
  - Some attacks can lower your defenses and aim.
  - Sometimes, attacks will miss. Temporarily boost your aim to reduce the likelihood of missing.
  - Unlike other mon games, Magikmon has no equivalent to XP share. The only Magikmon that receive experience during a battle are those who participated in it.
- Wild vs. Wizard Battles
  - Wild battles are random encounters you get while walking around the school’s grounds.
    - You only face off against one Magikmon at a time.
    - Wild battle encounters are random and frequent.
      - Just by navigating, you can expect to fight several Magikmon on the way to your destination.
      - Level grinding becomes near-automatic and easy to do.
    - You can capture wild Magikmon midway through the battle.
  - Wizard battles pit you against a student or teacher.
    - They will typically have more than one Magikmon, often of a higher level than yours.
    - You cannot capture Magikmon belonging to other wizards.
    - Sometimes, wizards of rank can have more Magikmon than you can have at any given time.
    - Beating them allows you to proceed with the game.
- Status effects
  - The game has two status effects that interfere with battle: poison and hack.
    - These come as an after-effect of some attacks.
      - The poison status emerges from the despair attack.
      - The hack status comes from the malware_trojan attack.
    - A poisoned Magikmon will lose hit points in each turn.
    - A hacked Magikmon will have a slight chance of attacking themselves in their own turn.
      - Hack has a greater effect on you than it does on your opponent.
  - Status effects only last through the current battle. However, they can still cause a lot of damage.
  - Use the appropriate power up to remove the effect through the battle.
- Capturing Magikmon
  - Magikmon tend to appear periodially in a lot of places.
  - You are more likely to capture Magikmon in areas that sparkle.
  - Craft magic traps out of magical energy you collect after each battle.
    - Magic Wand gives you one for free alongside your starter Magikmon.
  - Select the capture button next to the student icon on your turn to capture a Magikmon.
  - You have a greater chance of capturing a Magikmon if they’ve been significantly weakened in a battle.
  - Arrange your newly found Magikmon according to their priority in the capture screen.
    - Active battlers will appear on the wand’s hilt and pommel, on the upper portion.
    - Inactive Magikmon will appear in the shaft of the wand.
    - You can only release Magikmon upon capturing another one.
  - You can hold and train up to 6 Magikmon at any given time. You cannot catch them all.
- Crafting
  - After each battle, you earn magical energy. You can craft this into various items and other power-ups for your game.
  - Craft magic traps to capture more Magikmons to add to your team.
  - Power ups can give you an edge in battle when your Magikmon’s stats aren’t up to the task.
    - These include the following:
      - Full life: Restores your Magikmon’s health bar in full
      - Antidote: Cancels the venom state
      - Focus: Cancels the hack state
      - Attack: Gives your Magikmon a brief increase in offensive power
      - Defense: Gives your Magikmon a temporary resilience against attacks
      - Aim: Briefly increases the accuracy of your Magikmon’s attacks
    - The effects of power ups only last for the battle.
- Healing
  - Over time, your Magikmon heal by themselves.
    - It takes several seconds to a minute for a Magikmon to heal by themselves, depending on the severity of their damage.
    - You can speed up the process by accessing your Magic Wand and pressing the healing boost button. This will shorten the time you need to wait.
    - You can press the instant heal to get them ready in one click, but this has a 10 minute cooldown.
    - It’s more practical to use healing boost over instant heal.
Hints and Tips
- Keep a store of power ups throughout your game. They can spell the difference between victory and defeat.
- Take advantage of status effects; they’ll make winning against combatants easier.
- Level grind to boost your strength.
  - Level grinding allows you to bolster your Magikmon’s strength.
  - It also lets you collect more energy to craft power ups, vital to surviving trainer battles.
  - Wander around. You’re likely to encounter wild battles a lot.
- Don’t be afraid to run away when the battle seems hard to win.
Target Audience
- This is a game suited for older children, teenagers, and adults. We especially recommend it for fans of monster collecting (mon) games and retro 2D roleplaying games.
