How to Play

Convert the units of 4 different recipes to prepare the bakery for opening day.

• Starting the Game
  • Select the gold and white play button to load the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, select Play below the title of the game to begin.
  • The game begins with a slideshow displaying the basic units of fluid measurement.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on the buttons on the calculator to input your answers.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the calculator with your fingers to place in your answers.
• Game Play
  • Opening tutorial
    • The game starts with an opening slideshow explaining the units of fluid measurement and how they compare with one another.
    • The units used here are imperial measurements, such as those used in cooking.
    • Answer as many of the questions correctly as you can.
      • Pick out the answer from the choices below.
      • If you’re confident that you know the measurements, proceed to the main game.
      • If not, play the tutorial again.
  • Interface
    • On the top right corner are the following buttons:
      • Hamburger button: Pauses the game and lets you exit to the welcome screen if you want
      • Speaker button: Turns the game’s sounds on or off
    • The tutorial button is shown on the center right side of the recipe book.
  • Main game
    • Level selection
      • The game is divided into 10 different recipes of varying difficulties.
      • The game starts with all the recipes unlocked. You can play any of the recipes you feel like playing from the start of the game.
      • We recommend playing with the easier recipes first to help you familiarize yourself with the game.
    • Basic rules
      • Use the numbers on the calculator to type in the converted values of each ingredient.
      • Use the arrow button to clear your answer.
      • Select the check button to finalize your answer.
      • Finish 4 different recipes to win the game.
    • Final recipe
      • Unlike the rest of the game, the final recipe resembles a cake creator game.
      • Follow the on-screen instructions to decorate the cake as closely as you can to the picture provided.
        • Frost the cake.
        • Add the piping.
        • Add the sprinkles.
        • Add the toppings.
      • You have 10 seconds to complete each step.
    • Hints
      • Select the question mark button to open the game’s hints.
      • The question mark button is always on the right center side of the recipe book.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for children learning about volume measurement and converting between units.
