      • When you are at the end of the deck click the rounded arrow button to reshuffle.
    • Touchscreen
      • Use your finger like a mouse.
    • Scoring Rules

      • You can score points from making pairs on the pyramid, pairs in the deck, or a combination of the two.
      • Each row you remove from the pyramid is also worth additional points.
        • The bottom row is 25 points.
        • The second row is 50 points.
        • The third row is 75 points.

    • The bottom center of the screen shows how many deals you have left inclusive of the current deal up until the last card, then exclusive of the current deal.
    • Across the top of the game there are 5 buttons with the following functions: developer info, full screen mode, play advice, restart game, and quit game.
  • Strategy
    • The time limit encourages you to quickly work your way through this game.
    • In most cases it is generally better to make pairs off of cards that are on the pyramid rather than using cards from the deck, as you can go through the deck 3 times to revisit cards, but the pyramid is 7 levels deep.
      • In some cases it can be beneficial to look one or two rows up on the pyramid to see what pairs you will be able to make using those cards and which side of the pyramid you should work on first.
    • Using the deck to its full potential
      • If you know you will not be able to complete the pyramid then it can make sense to score a few extra points by making pairs from within the deck you shuffle through.
      • In other cases you may make pairs on the deck in order to access cards you have already went past so that they can be used on new parts of the pyramid which have been exposed.
    • No undo
      • This game does not have an undo button, so make sure you look the board over before eacy play.
  • Game Variations
    • This game has a number of variations.
      • Relaxed Pyramid: Games can be won with cards left in the stock.

One comment on "Pyramid Solitaire Card Game: Sum Cards to 13"

  • Joey says:

In this variant of solitaire, you must remove all the cards in the stack from the bottom up. To remove cards, make sure they add up to 13. You can remove the kings, valued at 13, by themselves. You can deal up to three times in a cycle. The game ends when you run out of valid moves, which can come at you without warning.

This is a difficult if still fun card matching game that will keep you occupied for some time. Expect to start the game over several times before you win. Note that you need a hard refresh of your browser to get three new deals.
