How to Play
Wander through the ruins of the Hall of Interjections. Retrieve the Orb of Interjections from Medusa.
Starting the Game
Select the green and white play button to load the welcome screen.
On the welcome screen, select any of these 2 options:
New Game: This option starts a game from the beginning. This is ideal for first-time players and for those who want to start anew for any reason.
Continue: Resume your game from the last level you left off.
Each new game lets you select a new character.
The game plays a cutscene that describes its premise. To skip the slides, select the Next button at the bottom right corner.
Your web browser will automatically save your game progress.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard
With your mouse, left click anywhere on the map.
To select an answer, left click on it with your mouse.
Tap the screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.
Each time you start a new game, you get to pick a player character.
Choose your player character from among 9 designs.
Fay the Fairy provides help through pop-ups. Her instructions include a description of interjections and a summary of the game’s controls.

Fay button: Select this to read Fay’s help text again.
Sound button: Select this to turn the game’s audio on and off.
Coin counter: Track how many coins you’re picking up. There are 40 coins to collect.

Enter the Hall
Answer the rat’s questions to proceed. Identify which of the word pairs are interjections.
To clear this stage, give 5 correct answers a row. Any mistake, and you must start over.
Flip the switch in the right order to open the door. To activate the switches, determine whether they are interjections.
Every word you label as an interjection will flip the switch up and vice versa.
You can only proceed if you flipped all the switches in the correct position. Make a mistake, and you must start over.
Create a path
Cross the chasm by choosing which 2 interjections fit the sentences better.
Correct answers form a path. Wrong answers do not.
Keep answering until you reach the other side.
Skip across a chasm by picking one of 3 labeled stones.
You must chose the stone whose interjection best suits the sentences of the question.
One wrong answer and you go down. Yikes! After that, you must start all over again.
Pick out the interjections in the sample sentences.
Once you’re done, select Check to verify your answers. You can only proceed when you have selected all the correct answers.
Answer all 5 questions to win the orb from Medusa.
Of all the games in the series, this is the easiest due to how different interjections are from other types of words. Yay!
Remember: interjections always stand alone as their own sentence.
Interjections exist to add emotional intensity to sentences that come before or after them. Read the sentences in each question with care to determine their emotion using context clues.
You cannot backtrack in this game. Make sure you’ve cleared an entire section of the game before proceeding.
