The Cyber Five Rules:
Never share personal information (passwords, etc.): Only you should know your passwords.
Do not download alone: Always alert an adult guardian you trust to inspect downloads for you. This way, you will avoid accidentally downloading viruses.
Don’t respond to a bully:Cyberbullies, hecklers, and trolls thrive from getting negative responses from others. By ignoring them, you deny them the satisfaction of knowing they’ve hurt you.
Copy and paste. Save it, and print: Rather than stoop to their level, provide evidence for the bully’s wrongdoing. Keeping and providing evidence is the key to getting justice the right way.
If you feel uncomfortable with what you see, call an adult immediately: An adult you trust is the best person equipped to handle any uncomfortable or disturbing material you encounter online.
